Join the two-day celebration of queerness and the art of Drag and related expressions at the Drag Up event, presented by Karmaklubb* X DPAM in collaboration with artist Brendan Fernandes. This exciting weekend will showcase an international exchange of ideas and performances, all centered around the vibrant Chicago scene. 
Don't miss the screening and panel conversation of the thought-provoking film "Metamorphosis" by Marte Gunnufsen, which follows two drag artists as they transform themselves before taking the stage. Accompanied by the mesmerizing score "Metamorphosen" by Richard Strauss, arranged by the Norwegian Chamber Orchestra, this film captures the magic of drag. Also, be sure to watch "Queen!" by Marte Gunnufsen, which features the energetic drag event at smartbar in Chicago.

In addition, experience the captivating video "Queering the Museum — Preus" by Karmaklubb* with Cassie Brødskive and Frida Marida. This unique piece stars drag activist Frida Marida and artist and drag academic Cassie Brødskive as they explore and interact with the architecture of the Preus Museum in Horten, Norway. Supported by the Office for Contemporary Art Norway, this video offers a raw and engaging response to the museum space.

Drag Up: Karmaklubb* X DPAM in collaboration with Brendan Fernandes (Day 1) is proud to be supported by DePaul's John T. Richardson Library and the LGBTQIA+ Center.
