Smart home technology promises to make our life more convenient - but who are the invisible guests we're inviting into our private environment? Smart devices can be used as tools of control and surveillance in domestic settings, amplifying power imbalances and creating new forms of abuse. Join us for an evening examining the relationship of smart technology and its ethical challenges.  Goethe-Institut Glasgow invite visual artists Martina Morger and Lukas Zerbst as well as curator Tommaso Ranfagni to present parts of their work-in-progress film  Home Smart Home . Taking the video as a starting point, the panel will discuss the growing prevalence of smart technology in homes and its (un-)intended consequences, and how it possibly intersects with domestic abuse.

It is a dream castle. When I arrived, it was the April holiday, there were almost no people on the road, only the old buildings stood in the cold air, solemn and heavy, which was awe-inspiring.

We came here on a spontaneous visit one Sunday afternoon in January and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. Our wee boy loved seeing the &ldquo;old fashioned house&rdquo; and was so well looked after by all the staff, from the cash register to the flat and back out again.We went round twice (with a shift change between visits!) and the insight into one story of no doubt thousands like it in Glasgow was fantastic. Plus our boy thoroughly enjoyed colouring in his wallie dug. A hidden gem that is well worth the wander through Garnethill.

After visiting Glasgow Cathedral, we walked to the large cemetery behind the cathedral.
