𝗙𝗲𝘀𝘁 𝗼𝗳 𝗳𝗼𝗼𝗹𝘀 𝗡𝗿. 𝟬 “Fest of fools is a festival format highlighting humor as a choreographic source for a political, cultural and aesthetic practice. Its edition Nr. 0 examines the meanings and production of laughter as a collective meeting point. Unveiling the paradoxical resistance and violence of accepting to perform a role, in an imposed narrative, in which one is a byproduct or consequence of it. A performance which does not pretend to answer any question. A performance that happens at the friction between: what we imagine is happening and what is actually happening. “ ̶𝗵̶𝗮̶ ̶𝗵̶𝗮̶ ̶𝗵̶𝗮̶ 𝗛𝗶!” With his latest solo performance “ ̶h̶a̶ ̶h̶a̶ ̶h̶a̶ ̶Hi!” (WT) at the interface of circus, physical theater, stand up and object manipulation, Felix Baumann continues his work on the theme of BODY, COMIC & MATERIAL and dedicates himself to humor as a medium of cultural practice and choreography. In “ ̶h̶a̶ ̶h̶a̶ ̶h̶a̶ ̶Hi!” (WT), a mediocre comedian struggles to tell a joke with a life-changing effect. But he usually lacks the words or the right microphone setting for a real breakthrough. 𝗗𝗘𝗩𝗢𝗨𝗥𝗘𝗥 One body, a bunch of black balls, a clear task and countless greed. A dance performance inspired by the principles of the clown figure and black hole theory. DEVOURER exists only to have. In a determined effort to take everything for its own, it absorbs light, inhales space and materializes time. Its transformation manifests gradually. A body of greed caught in action. How can the „self“ be maximized? Singularity.
