This session brings together leading experts in realist reviews to share their practical strategies and lived experience conducting impactful reviews across disciplines. Whether you're new to realist reviews or looking to deepen your expertise, this event will equip you with: A strong grounding in the fundamentals of a realist philosophy of science Practical searching and synthesis techniques in realist reviews Real-world examples from completed realist reviews Opportunities to network with experts and peers Meet the experts Dr Nancy Clark – A leading figure in participatory realist research and mental health systems, recognized for bridging theory and practice, particularly in forced migration contexts. Dr Simon Carroll – Brings extensive expertise in the history and evolution of realist reviews, with decades of experience in the field. Dr Ferdinand C. Mukumbang – Internationally recognized for his work on realist philosophy, critical realism, and realist evaluation and reviews. Dr Maura MacPhee – Renowned for her extensive research trajectory and for translating realist reviews into actionable insights for healthcare and policy. Alejandro Arguelles Bullon – An early career realist researcher and PhD student advancing inclusive, global realist practice through his research, teaching, and leadership initiatives. West Shore Cops for Cancer Charity Golf Tournament, Aug 21 at Olympic View—golf, community, and support for kids battling cancer. Join us for an incredible day of golf, community, and giving back at the West Shore Cops for Cancer Charity Golf Tournament on August 21 at Olympic View Golf Club in Colwood. The day begins with registration opening up at 7:00 AM, followed by player announcements at 7:45 AM and an 8:00 AM shotgun start . Breakfast wraps will be served as you register. Enjoy a fun and memorable round featuring exciting on-course activities, great prizes, a 50/50 draw, and auction items you won’t want to miss. A delicious BBQ lunch will be served at 1:00 PM. Registration is $250 per player or $1,000 per team of four - carts are included.
