The Investor Readiness Programme | Nottingham Central Library

A free workshop for Nottingham founders and aspiring founders This workshop is delivered by Nottingham City Council in partnership with Built in Notts. It forms part of a practical support programme for early-stage founders. Whether you are shaping an early idea, building something that is not getting traction, looking to scale but unsure how to fund it, or you know you need investment but do not know where to start, this programme is designed to help you take the next step. The aim of the session is simple. We want to help every founder move closer to being genuinely investor ready. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Who Is This Event For? This workshop is designed for founders who are ambitious, curious, and ready to grow. It is suitable whether you are just starting out or already trading but feeling stuck. This includes founders who are: Validating an early-stage idea Trading but struggling to gain traction Unsure how to fund growth or scale Aware they need investment but do not know where to begin Students or graduates exploring ideas with commercial potential If you want practical guidance on how to build something investable, this session is for you. *Please note that this event is exclusively for Nottingham-based residents. Eligibility checks will be carried out. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Session Content The session cuts through the noise and focuses on what actually matters when becoming investor ready. You will learn: What investors are really looking for, and what puts them off How to sharpen your proposition and tell your story clearly How to get your ask right, including how much you need and why How to build an investor outreach strategy that works in the real world How to create an investor ready presence online and offline This is not a lecture. You will leave with a clear picture of where you stand, what is holding you back, and the specific actions you need to take next. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Follow Up Coaching After the workshop, a select group of businesses will be offered free one to one support to keep momentum going. Each selected founder will receive: One 30 minute one to one session per month for three months These meetings include progress reviews, pitch and material critiques, and tailored guidance to help founders continue moving towards investor readiness. Selection is based on readiness, commitment, and potential to follow through. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Community Support To support ongoing progress, a dedicated channel will be created inside the Built in Notts community. This gives founders a space to share challenges, achievements, and ideas with each other. The facilitator will also be available in the channel to offer feedback and guidance between sessions. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Information Source: Nottingham City Business Growth Hub Team | eventbrite
