Fusion Fest 2024 is a groundbreaking event that aims to provide a deep dive into the world of traditional Japanese Martial Arts. This annual seminar, hosted by Charleston Self Defense and sponsored by Zanshin Collective, is set to take place from January 12th to January 15th at Charleston Self Defense - West Ashley, located at 2467 Savannah Highway #Suite 130, Charleston, SC 29414.

During Fusion Fest, participants will have the unique opportunity to explore and learn from three renowned martial arts: Judo, Jiujitsu, and Aikido. With a focus on discovering the shared lineages and heritages of these disciplines, Fusion Fest aims to enhance the training and skills of all attendees.

The carefully curated sessions at Fusion Fest combine theory and practice, allowing practitioners to gain insights into their own practice while understanding the foundations of their sister disciplines. Fusion Focus sessions will be led by primary instructors, showcasing core techniques and essential elements of their respective arts. Experts from the other two arts will then present prepared responses, highlighting the similarities and differences.

In addition to the informative sessions, Fusion Fest will also offer open mat time, sparring sessions, and seminars on training and conditioning methods. This ensures there is something for everyone, regardless of rank, style, or experience. Plus, attendees can indulge in heavy snacks and drinks provided by the organizers.

For those interested, there will be an optional lunch on your own, but a delicious dinner will be provided at the dojo at 6:30 PM on January 13th, 2024 (BYOB). Vegetarian, vegan, and gluten-free options will be available.
