Girls Day Out - Women in Sport is a highly anticipated event taking place in Newcastle on January 20, 2024. This one-day extravaganza brings together elite female athletes from various sports, including Surfing, Surf Life Saving, Hockey, Cheerleading, Soccer, Netball, League, Union, Golf, Roller Derby, Volleyball, and AFL. Girls aged 5-16 years old are invited to join in on the excitement. Participants can choose to take part in one or several mini clinics, where they can get a taste of the board or the ball. Each girl will receive a Girls Day Out tote bag, complete with a Girls Day Out hat. Sun protection is of paramount importance, and therefore, each girl will also receive sun cream from Hunter Melanoma and a reusable water bottle from Hunter Water. Thanks to the generosity of our sponsors, City of Newcastle, Port Waratah, Hunter Juino Rugby League, Rip Curl, RAIS, Hunter Water, Hunter Melanoma, and Fruit Brothers, this event promises to be a memorable one. There will be a suncream station, hydration stations, and a fruit station, ensuring that all participants are well taken care of throughout the day. Located at Foreshore Park & Nobby's Beach in Newcastle, this event offers a unique opportunity for girls to engage with sports and discover their passion.
