The Hampton Prenatal and Postpartum Yoga Class at Birth In Color RVA aims to prepare individuals for their unique birth experience. This program takes place on the first and third Sunday of every month at 11:00 AM at Sentara CarePlex Hospital, located at 3000 Coliseum Drive, Hampton, VA 23666. The prenatal and postpartum yoga sessions are specifically designed to help attendees physically and mentally prepare for childbirth, while also relieving the various stresses that can be placed on the body during this time. Additionally, these classes may assist in alleviating discomforts such as low back pain, sciatica, and swelling, as well as addressing the emotional and mental stress associated with pregnancy. Participants will engage in relaxation and breathing techniques, along with poses that promote muscle toning, strength, balance, and improved focus. This supportive environment also provides an opportunity for pregnant individuals to connect with others in the community. The ticket price for the class is a donation, with a $5 entry fee for those with a Birth in Color Doula (50% discount) and a $10 entry fee for those without a Birth in Color Doula.
