Hefei youth theater forces launched a pioneering deconstruction of the absurdist classic "Waiting for Godot," presenting the first part of their classic deconstruction series, "Don't Wait for Godot Anymore": This time, we won't wait! The play boldly breaks the eternal waiting dilemma in Beckett's original work, liberating the two tramps, Vladimir and Estragon, from under the barren tree, endowing them with the courage of active choice and the agency to act in an absurd reality. Within a contemporary context rich with Anhui's unique charm, they no longer passively await the elusive "Godot," but instead, with black humor, burst into the bizarre landscape of modern life. Amidst mistaken identities, language games, and surreal encounters, they embark on a wild adventure concerning the meaning of existence, free will, and self-redemption.

Of the four pavilions included in the joint ticket, Yang Zhenning&#39;s Former Residence and the Sanhe Battle Museum are relatively large, while the other two are quite small with limited exhibits. They also don&#39;t attract many visitors on weekdays.

Signature artifact &ndash; the &quot;Cloud Pattern Five-Column Shaped Vessel&quot;!

There are some artifacts unearthed from Zhongdu (present-day Beijing) during the Ming Dynasty at the entrance, giving it a strong sense of historical vicissitude.

(The hometown of Zhu Yuanzhang, the founding emperor of the Ming Dynasty! The birthplace of the Ming Dynasty! It&#39;s worth a visit just for that!)

The bronzes showcase the fusion of Central Plains and Southern civilizations.

Some of the vessel shapes are quite interesting.

There&#39;s a three-legged li (a type of ancient Chinese cooking vessel)? It has different expressions depending on the angle; one angle shows a pitiful face, another a proud little expression&mdash;very cute!

Even cuter are the pottery li with their curved little tails! So adorable! Like a puppy&#39;s tail! (This must be a local specialty; I don&#39;t think I&#39;ve seen this in the north.)

One bronze tripod has a particularly striking bluish patina.

Anhui is rich in copper mines (Tongling?) and is situated at the crossroads of Central Plains and Southern cultures, making its blend of northern and southern styles worth seeing (not to mention the museum&#39;s prized possession, the Zhuke Ding).

However, now you don&#39;t even need a reservation&hellip;

There are also special exhibitions on &quot;Golden Splendor Across China&quot; and &quot;Mawangdui&quot;! If you don&#39;t see those gold artifacts soon, you&#39;ll have to go home!

The autumn colors are absolutely stunning!

Right on the banks of the Baohe River, it&#39;s within walking distance of Xiaoyaojin Park and Li Hongzhang&#39;s Former Residence, and easily accessible by public transportation (bus and subway).

The clear blue water and sky reflect the red maples and dawn redwoods, creating a picturesque scene!

Traveling from Kaifeng Prefecture, where Bao Zheng worked, to his hometown evokes a unique feeling!

Whether it&#39;s Bao Gong Lake in Kaifeng Prefecture or the Baohe River in Hefei, both feature willows swaying along the banks, their beautiful scenery further highlighting Bao Zheng&#39;s incorruptibility!

(So, actually, many prominent figures in the Northern Song Dynasty have their share of gossip, such as Bao Zheng offering wine at a banquet, which Wang Anshi refused to drink&hellip;)

You can buy souvenirs from the vendors; their stalls are beautifully decorated, and you can even take photos!

If you have time, you can take a boat tour on the Baohe River, or climb Qingfeng Pavilion for panoramic views. A leisurely stroll along the riverbank is also very pleasant and refreshing!

The restored tomb chamber can be visited, and the park also exhibits some artifacts unearthed from the Bao family tombs... It&#39;s incredibly simple!

We went there by speedboat 🚤. The island isn&#39;t big, and a full circumnavigation takes about 2-3 hours. The scenery is beautiful, but for some reason, spiders are everywhere 🕷, with spider webs everywhere 🕸. If you&#39;re afraid of insects, I recommend taking the electric buggy around; otherwise, you&#39;ll be completely terrified by all the bugs...

I took my kids to Sunac Hefei during the May Day holiday. The coupons on a certain audio platform were super cost-effective, including hotel + tickets + buffet.
