Join the free creative workshop, "Hot Prospects: Ensemble Theatre-Making," designed for 16 to 25-year-olds. Led by esteemed producer Alistair Wilkinson, this workshop offers a unique opportunity to explore the art of ensemble theatre-making. Discover Alistair's approach to this collaborative form of theater, where grounding techniques, physical and vocal training, and improvisation techniques are used to activate emotions and expand imagination. This immersive experience allows participants to develop a deep connection with the text and a heightened understanding of their characters. Through ensemble work, the workshop focuses on exercises that tap into the body's senses and subconscious desires, resulting in reactive, raw, and authentic performances. Expect a fun and interactive workshop that emphasizes the importance of play. Remember to bring water and wear comfortable clothing. Alistair Wilkinson, an experienced curator, artist developer, and cultural producer, will lead the session. Alistair has worked with prestigious organizations such as the BBC, the National Theatre, and the Barbican Centre. This workshop is part of the Hot Prospects series, a collaboration between the National Football Museum and young people from the Greater Manchester area. It aims to explore the connection between football and creativity through a series of artist-led workshops. Following the workshop, participants will have the opportunity to join Hot Prospects' youth advisory group by application.
