Delve into your identity through creative self-expression and connect with local creatives at the upcoming event, "Identity, Power, and Art: April 4th, Create Your Name (Inner Vandal)," hosted by artist SPEAKS in collaboration with RiNo Art District and RedLine Contemporary Art Center in Denver. This workshop series, spanning all of 2024, aims to deepen personal connections to artistic and creative expressions. By exploring the concept of ownership and pride in one's name, participants will have the opportunity to create meaningful artwork reflecting their identities. The event, featuring artist Diego Florez-Arroyo as a co-host, encourages attendees to embrace their names without shame and express them proudly. Diego, a multidisciplinary artist deeply involved in various cultural and artistic projects, brings a wealth of experience to the workshop. The series culminates in a group art show where participants' creations will be celebrated. Drop-ins and one-off attendees are welcome to join this enriching exploration of self and creative practice. Participants will have access to art materials, as well as light refreshments. Donations are accepted for entry to the event held on April 4th at RedLine Contemporary Art Center.
