The Kid's Day Camp | 2023, hosted by SiNaCa Studios - School of Glass and Gallery in Fort Worth, offers an exciting opportunity for young campers aged 10-16 to explore the art of glass-making. Priced at $200, this camp is perfect for budding artists looking to unleash their creativity. With a minimum of 2 and a maximum of 10 participants, each camper will receive personalized attention and guidance from our skilled camp instructors. The camp runs for 3 hours and is divided into three glass studios, where campers will work in groups of up to four. During the camp, campers will create three unique glass projects. In the Spring/Summer session, they will learn glass blowing techniques to make a paperweight, kiln forming skills to create a message board, and flame working methods to design a frit pendant. In the Fall/Winter session, campers will have the opportunity to make a glass blowing ornament, kiln-formed ornaments (set of 2), and a flamecicle. The finished pieces will be available for pick up at the SiNaCa Studios gallery within five to seven business days after the camp. To ensure everyone's safety, SiNaCa Studios has implemented various measures, which can be found in detail in the FAQ section of their website. Additionally, all participants are required to fill out a Risk and Release form, which can be accessed through the FAQ page. In the glass blowing studio, campers will work with molten glass at a temperature of 2100F, using tools and blowing air to shape their creations. The flame working studio offers the chance to work with colored and clear glass rods or tubes in front of an open, gas-fueled torch. The kiln forming studio focuses on working with solid glass, allowing campers to cut and layer sheet glass with glass frits and stringers to create their designs. SiNaCa Studios exclusively uses Bullseye Glass (90coe) in their kiln forming studio, ensuring the best results for campers' creations.
