Join the Kizomba 101 Crash Course for Beginners at Henke on Sunday. This crash course is perfect for those who are just starting or have never danced Kizomba before. It is an easy-to-follow and fun course that will immerse you in the beautiful and elegant dance from Angola. No partner is required, and it is ideal for singles and couples who want to learn the basics and foundation turns of Kizomba. Throughout the course, you will learn techniques in leading and following, basic steps, timing variations, connection exercises, weight change while dancing with a partner, how to recognize the music, dance etiquette, social dance combinations, and figures. Whether you have experience or not, this crash course will help you every step of the way. Please RSVP to save your spot and keep the class balanced. The event is for ages 21+ and there will be food and a bar available. The schedule for the course is as follows: 8:00 PM - Intro and foundations, variations in timing, and footwork for men and women; 9:00 PM - Intro Saidas, Social figures, more fun combinations; 10:00 PM - Bonus Social dancing till 11:00 PM. The ticket price is $25 for ladies, $30 for gentlemen, and $45 for couples if you register in advance. If you prefer to pay at the door, the price is $35 per person. Please note that walk-ins are not allowed, so make sure to RSVP. The event will take place at Henke & Pillot, located at 809 Congress Street, Houston, TX.
