Directed by Zhang Yimou with a creative team including crossover musician Wu Tong, internationally acclaimed choreographer Sang Jijia, renowned sound engineer Jin Shaogang, lighting master Ren Dongsheng, stage visual director Dominic Faraway, underwater photography director Bernard Prentice, and 20 world-class teams, this production assembled a Hollywood-scale crew of 582 professionals. The 26th Macao Lotus Festival will be held from June 12th to July 17th. During this period, over 9,000 potted lotus flowers will be on display at various locations throughout Macao, along with a series of exhibitions and activities. The festival offers a rich and varied program suitable for both active and leisurely pursuits, and welcomes residents and tourists alike to participate. This year's Macao Lotus Festival continues its collaboration with the Hengqin Lotus Festival, carrying forward the Chinese lotus tradition and jointly composing a new chapter of cultural and tourism integration in early summer. The theme of this year's Macao Lotus Festival is "Flourishing Macao with Lotus Blossoms". With the theme of "Apricot Pink," featuring pink peach-shaped buds that bloom into light pink flowers with red edges, and over twenty other lotus varieties, the exhibition area is decorated with these flowers, creating an immersive lotus-viewing space for citizens and tourists. The main exhibition area, Taipa Houses-Museum, incorporates elements such as bamboo ribbons and imitation stone sculptures into its layered and visually guiding landscape design. This combines the elegant and noble connotations of lotus culture with Macao's unique blend of Chinese and Western cultures, creating a summer cultural tourism experience that is perfect for taking photos, strolling, appreciating, and relaxing. It conveys Macao's vitality as a world-class tourism and leisure center and promotes the integration of lotus culture and urban tourism.
