Join Palmetto Bluff's Longfield Stables for our 3rd Annual May River Classic! With classes that range from leadline to our Hunter Derbies and jumper classes, we invite everyone to join us! With a covered arena, stunning jumps and R Judge, this an excellent opportunity to get all the bells and whistles of the big show enviroment in our very own Lowcountry paradise! FEES Office Fee: $40 Class Entry Fee: $30 per class excluding Hunter Derbies (Adds will be charged the standard class fee of $30, add cards must be given to in-gate 15 mins prior to class) 2’ Low Open Hunter Derby Entry: $60 (Top 10 placed scores in Round 1 will come back to be judged in round 2. Round 2 will be a Handy Hunter type course) 2’9” High Open Hunter Derby: $60 (Top 10 placed scores in Round 1 will come back to be judged in round 2. Round 2 will be a Handy Hunter type course) Friday Night Trailer-in Schooling: $30 trailer in fee is now available to those that would like to trailer in on Friday to school. Horses must exit the property by 7:30pm on Friday, November 1st. Stall reservations do not need to pay the trailer in schooling fee. EMS fee: $15 Stall fee: $90 per stall per night. No arrivals will be permitted prior to 3 pm on November 1st. Trailers to be moved and parked in Trailer Parking field immediately after unloading. Open schooling available from 5:00-7:00pm on Nov. 1st in the covered arena. Bedding and sanitized buckets will be included in the price of a stall. Self-care and stall cleaning required throughout duration of the show. Stalls will have access to wash racks, round pens, cross ties and ample number of fans as well as grazing areas around the exterior of the barn. All Nov. 1st stall reservations must exit property upon commencement of the show with the option to pay for an additional night at $85 and leave prior to 9:00am on Nov. 3rd SHOW RULES GENERAL · Trailer in horses may arrive at 6:00am day of the show, parking will be designated for trailers and competitors. All horses must exit the property upon completion of the show. · All guests and participants must comply with Longfield Stables policies and procedures and all participants must sign agreement at check in. · All riders on Longfield Stables property must wear an ASTM-SEI Certified helmet. · A single horse may not be entered in more than two divisions or a combination of more than 6 classes. · Riders must be wearing their back number when they enter the ring, or they be disqualified from that class. · Any horse may compete for Best Turned Out. This will be judged on horse or pony’s show ready appearance. · Pleasure class to be judged on horse’s way of going. English and Western disciplines welcome! COGGINS/VACCINATIONS A current Certificate of negative Coggins listing horse’s recorded show name as well as proof of all required Longfield Stables vaccines are REQUIRED. No Exceptions. Show numbers and stabling will not be issued without current Coggins and vaccination record. Please email vaccination record and negative Coggins to at sclymer@palmettobluff.com prior to arrival. GENERAL SCHOOLING Schooling arena open during show hours, weather permitting. All horses must track the same direction for safety and all jumps MUST be called by trainers loudly to avoid collisions! The grass jump field will be closed at all times. Schooling arena may be closed by staff once there is no longer adequate natural sunlight. In that case, controlled schooling will be offered in the covered arena at the direction of show steward. Controlled schooling will be offered before the start of Jumpers. LUNGING Lunging permitted in round pens marked at the lower side of the property. One horse may be lunged at a time throughout the duration of the show. MANURE AND TRASH We ask that you help keep our facilities and common areas free of manure by locating a manure bucket if your horse poops in or around the facilities. One of Longfield’s staff members would be more than happy to assist and hold a horse as needed. There are several receptacles located throughout our facility, please help keep our property beautiful by disposing of trash in designated places. START TIME Start time will be strictly enforced with the show beginning at 9:00am. If you have not checked in at the back gate prior to the completion of your class or 90 seconds have passed since being called for your round, you will forfeit your round for that class.
