Solo Salon Showcase - Sunday, January 26 at 7pm Plus a booking with Newport Peekeasy Newport Theater Camp launches our final Act Development courses for 2024 aimed at solo performers. Students looking to conceptualize, create, and construct new acts in the burlesque and cabaret arena will learn the mechanics of Concept, Costume, Music, and Movement. This class runs 2 hours per week and will cover theory as well as hands-on practical skills. Enrollment is limited to only FIVE registrants to maximize each student’s time and attention. There are two concurrent classes spanning a total of 11 weeks (8 weeks in classroom time plus 3 weeks of home development time). The course culminates in a live showcase featuring each student's newly created solo. This class is appropriate for anyone looking to build a new solo work regardless of experience level. Act Development with Harley Go'Lightly Maximum - Five Registrants Saturdays 11am-1pm Nov 23, 30; Dec 7, 14, 21; Break; Jan 4, 11, 18 Solo Salon Dry Run - Thursday, January 23 at 7pm Solo Salon Showcase Sunday, January 26 at 7pm Plus a booking with Newport Peekeasy Students looking to conceptualize, realize, and bring to life who they are in the burlesque, cabaret, and drag arena will learn the mechanics of character design and realization through makeup, movement, and improvisation. This class runs 2 hours per week and will cover history and theory as well as hands-on practical skills. Enrollment is limited to only FIVE registrants to maximize each student’s time and attention. There are two concurrent classes spanning a total of 11 weeks (8 weeks in classroom time plus 3 weeks of home development time). The course culminates in a live showcase featuring each student's newly created solo as their fully realized persona. This class is appropriate for anyone looking to build a brand and aesthetic to bring into their solo performance. ​ Both classes follow the same standardized curriculum.

Tingtao Villa is located on the seaside. You can hear the sound of the waves directly, hence the name Tingtao Villa. The building is very beautiful, and the decoration inside is magnificent and shocking. There is also a mini villa in the garden, which is a building suitable for children to play. It looks quite interesting. It was raining that day, and when we visited the indoors and came to the outdoors, there was heavy fog. We could hardly see the sea view, and could only hear the sound of the waves. It was really like listening to the waves. The whole scenic spot took about one and a half hours to two hours to visit. Tingtao Villa is more than an hour&#39;s drive from Boston one way. If you are in a tight schedule, it is not recommended to go there.
