The final Open Ear concert of 2024, titled "Open Ear @ United Arts Club," invites visitors to experience a unique and intimate musical event at the United Arts Club in Dublin 2. The concert lineup includes talented artists such as Bea Brennan, Michael Lightborne, Rainfear, and Aonghus Reidy. This event serves as the Dublin debut for Bea Brennan, a UK ambient and electronics artist known for her captivating soundscapes inspired by perceptual phenomena and the unstable nature of memory. With album releases on Surgeon's Old Technology label and appearances on Dublin label Apartment, Bleep43, and Kaleidoscope, Brennan's performance promises to be mesmerizing.

Michael Lightborne, who released the highly acclaimed "Slí na Fírinne" album on Department of Energy in 2022, will also be showcasing his Water Damage live A/V show. This audio-visual journey explores the deep entanglement of Irish rivers with agriculture and politics, places and people, health and life, myth and memory, offering a unique perspective.

Renowned Dublin musicians David Donohoe and David Lacy will be performing as Rainfear, delivering a high-energy clash of free-improvised synthesizers and drums. Their performance promises to be an exciting and idiosyncratic experience.

Additionally, Aonghus Reidy returns to the Open Ear stage, having previously performed as Ocean Floor. Reidy's music features slowly evolving harmonies and soundscapes with elements of ambient, minimalist, and experimental styles.

The United Arts Club, founded in 1907, is a historical space dedicated to promoting the nine arts. Located at 3 Fitzwilliam Street Upper, Dublin 2, the venue has hosted prominent figures such as W.B. Yeats and Countess Markievicz. This special night of music will take place on December 2, 2023, and tickets are priced at €27.79.
