Join the PhotoAlliance Lecture Series for a captivating evening featuring renowned Bay Area photographer Todd Hido and emerging artist Meg Roussos. This final lecture of 2023 will take place at the historic Bayfront Theater at Fort Mason in San Francisco. The event is part of an exciting partnership that has brought a year and a half of exceptional programs to the Bay Area. We are delighted to announce that we will be returning to Fort Mason for our spring 2024 programs as well. During the lecture, Todd Hido will provide a sneak peek into his upcoming monograph, "The End Sends Advance Warning." Drawing on his years of experience, Hido will share his reflections and showcase images that demonstrate his distinctive cinematic and atmospheric approach to landscape photography. Meg Roussos, an emerging artist based in Seattle, will also explore the theme of movement through the landscape and the influence of cinema on still photography. She will present her recent photographic projects, along with insights from her experience as a "triple crown" thru-hiker. Following the program, guests are invited to join a holiday reception in the lobby, where they can enjoy a champagne toast to the season, photography, and one another. The reception will be hosted by PhotoAlliance Creative Director Linda Connor. Students are welcome to attend the lecture for free by showing their school ID to the check-in volunteer.
