Pinch Improv | Longform Performance Ensemble | 165 King St W

Join the 8-week improv workshop series, Pinch Improv | Longform Performance Ensemble, led by renowned director Ben Gorodetsky. This series is designed to enhance your comedic skills and develop your trust, listening abilities, storytelling techniques, comedic timing, and group mind. Over the course of 20 hours of instruction, you will be part of an ensemble of hilarious and creative individuals. The workshop culminates in a student performance showcase where you can demonstrate your fresh improv skills before a live audience. Date for the showcase is to be determined.

In order to perform with the Pinch Improv Performance Ensemble, previous classes with Pinch are required. However, if you have comparable experience with other improv schools or ensembles, you may be considered. For inquiries, please reach out to PinchCabaret@gmail.com.

The classes will be held on Tuesdays from 7-9:30 pm, starting on January 9, 2024. The location for the workshop is 165 King St W, Kitchener, in the same building as Libro Credit Union. Please note that the studio is in the basement, and Ben Gorodetsky will meet you at the street entrance to guide you downstairs. Ensure you head to King St West, not East.

About the instructor, Ben Gorodetsky is an improviser, director, and educator based in Kitchener, Ontario. He is the curator and host of Pinch Cabaret, voted as KW's BEST LOCAL EVENT. Ben's expertise extends beyond Kitchener, having performed, taught, and directed improvisation across various renowned venues worldwide. With a background in theater and education, Ben brings a wealth of experience to his classes.
