Join the Pottery playing R&B event at OCISLY Ceramics in Miami. Experience 2 hours of meditative wheel throwing while listening to the best 90s R&B hits by artists like Diddy, Nelly, Ashanti, Aaliyah, Mary J, Neyo, Mario, and Usher. This relaxing evening is perfect for beginners who want to try their hand at wheel throwing. Our expert instructors will guide you through the process, whether you're a complete novice or have some experience. The event will take place at Casa Mida, an oasis in the middle of Wynwood, located at 124 Northeast 22nd Street, Miami, FL 33137. During the class, you will learn the basics of clay and pottery, along with how to prepare the clay. We will provide 3+ lbs of clay for you to create simple shapes such as a bowl, a little vase, or an ashtray. All materials, tools, and equipment needed, including the wheel, will be provided. Your finished piece will be fired and clear-glazed. Please note that some pieces may not survive the firing process, but the experience is about letting go and embracing the creative journey. Parking is available for the first 8 cars, and street parking is also an option. We recommend ride-sharing to avoid any parking issues. Please arrive on time as latecomers will not be allowed to join the class more than 15 minutes after it starts.
