The highly anticipated Run Against Breast Cancer HOUSTON is selling out quickly! Waves will be closed off as soon as they fill up, so be sure to secure your spot early. If the waves are sold out, don't worry, you can still participate in the virtual run option. Stand together against cancer by taking part in a 5K, 10K, or 21K Half Marathon. This event is not only a chance to challenge yourself, but also an opportunity to support a great cause. 10% of the run proceeds, along with 100% of the fundraising, will go directly to the American Cancer Society, the oldest and largest cancer organization in the United States. Their mission is to save lives, celebrate lives, and lead the fight for a world without cancer. Fundraising is optional, but highly encouraged. By creating your own profile during registration or on our page, you can easily start raising funds to make a difference. This small and private group run is limited to just 15-20 participants per wave, ensuring a personalized and supportive experience for all. Runners and walkers of all paces and ages (under 18 with a guardian) are welcome to join. No equipment or setup is needed, just pure running with our coordinators by your side. Timing chips are not provided, but our coordinators can help you keep track of your time using bib numbers given out on race day. As a participant, you will receive a premium running shirt, which will be shipped to your address within the US, and a finisher's medal, which can be claimed by emailing us after the run. There's no need to pick up packets, as all swag will be shipped directly to you. For those signing up within two weeks of the race, please note that your shirt may arrive after the run, but you are welcome to wear any appropriate shirt for the race. Wave times are assigned on a first-come, first-serve basis. If your desired wave time is not available, you can run upon arrival. Virtual run participants have the unique opportunity to receive support from a coach who can be reached via text. You can complete the virtual run at your preferred time and location using any tracking device, and submit your results to receive your well-deserved medal.
