The highly anticipated Run Against Breast Cancer SAN ANTONIO is set to take place at Lady Bird Johnson Park in San Antonio, TX on February 24, 2024. This event is expected to sell out quickly, so participants are encouraged to act fast. Waves will be closed off as soon as they reach capacity, but in the event of a sell-out, individuals can still sign up for the virtual run option. Participants can choose between a 5K, 10K, or 21K Half Marathon to show their support in the fight against cancer. Upon completing the run, each participant will receive a special commemorative pin or ribbon as a keepsake. Not only will participants have a chance to challenge themselves physically, but they will also be making a difference in the lives of those affected by cancer. A portion of the proceeds from the run, as well as 100% of the fundraising efforts, will be donated to the American Cancer Society. As the oldest and largest cancer organization in the United States, the American Cancer Society is dedicated to funding groundbreaking research, providing support to patients and their families, and advocating for cancer prevention. This small and intimate run is limited to just 15 participants per wave, ensuring a personalized and supportive atmosphere. Runners of all ages and paces are welcome to participate, whether they choose to run or walk. There is no need for any special equipment or setup - just a pure and enjoyable run. To participate, individuals can register for their desired wave time by emailing info@thebestraces.com. Wave times include 7:30AM, 8:30AM, and 9:00AM, and will be filled on a first-come, first-served basis. Late runners can still join the run upon arrival, as coordinators will be present until 3 hours after the first wave. Participants will receive a swag bag that includes a premium running shirt and a finisher's medal. The shirts will be shipped directly to the participant's provided US mailing address the week of the race. Race bibs will be provided on race day, eliminating the need for packet pickup. For those who are unable to register in advance, last-minute registrations are accepted, although it is important to note that the shirt may arrive after the run.
