Experience a captivating full-day workshop with local artist Becca Brown in Sheffield at the Millennium Gallery. Delve into the world of drawing and printing on ceramics as Becca guides participants through a diverse range of mark-making, drawing, and printing techniques on clay slabs. Following a break for lunch, attendees will have the opportunity to craft and embellish a slab-built pot or mug from scratch, incorporating the techniques explored earlier in the day. The final creations will be adorned with a clear glaze and fired in the kiln, becoming available for collection at the Millenium Gallery two weeks later. Working with porcelain and stoneware, Becca Brown skillfully intertwines drawing, painting, and printmaking to weave narratives onto her decorative hand-built ceramics. Drawing inspiration from her surroundings, Scottish folklore, and personal experiences, Becca aims to capture moments of human connection and intimacy in her artwork.
