Join the JCC East Bay for an exciting and informative self-defense class designed specifically for teens. This Self Defense Class for Teens will take place at the JCC East Bay in Berkeley on March 10, 2024. The class will cover the fundamentals of Krav Maga, a highly effective form of self-defense. Participants will learn strike and evasion techniques to boost their awareness, confidence, and ability to de-escalate life-threatening situations. Whether it's a threat from a stranger or bullying, this class will equip teens with the necessary skills to handle these situations with confidence.

No previous martial arts experience is required to participate in this class. The Krav Maga Xtreme team will provide expert instruction, ensuring that participants of all levels feel comfortable and empowered. The class will take place in our indoor theater, with masking being optional.

In addition to the valuable skills you will gain, the JCC East Bay is committed to creating an inclusive and welcoming environment for all. We invite individuals of all backgrounds, religions, and abilities to join us for this program. If you have specific needs or financial concerns, please reach out to Brianna Sommer, Director of Youth & Teen Programs, and she will be happy to assist you.

Please note that registration for this class is $23. However, if you are a Berkeley-Oakland Midrasha student, registration is free. Light refreshments will be provided, including kosher, vegetarian options with vegan and gluten-free choices available. We encourage participants to bring canned or packaged food to be donated to the Berkeley Food Pantry.
