SiNaCa Studios - School of Glass and Gallery invites you to join their upcoming Spark Workshops on Friday, December 15, 2023, in Fort Worth, Texas. These workshops offer a unique and fulfilling experience for participants of all ages, allowing them to discover the joy of working with glass. During the workshops, attendees will have the opportunity to create their own one-of-a-kind glass treasures. The projects offered may vary and can be seasonally themed. Whether it's Glass Blowing, Kiln Forming, or Flame Working, there is something for everyone. In the Glass Blowing workshop, participants will work with glass in its molten state, shaping and forming it using tools and blowing air into it. They can choose their preferred colors and create their own unique ornaments. This workshop is suitable for ages 8 and above, and each item costs $60. The Flame Working workshop allows participants to work with colored and clear glass rods or tubes, using an open, gas-fueled torch. They can melt the glass and shape it using tools and gravity. SiNaCa Studios teaches with two types of glass: a soft soda-lime glass primarily used for bead making, and a hard borosilicate glass for sculptural and blown work. This workshop is also suitable for ages 8 and above, and each item costs $50. In the Kiln Forming workshop, participants will work with solid glass, cutting and layering sheet glass with glass frit and stringers to create their designs. The assembled work will then be fired in an electric kiln to fuse the layers together. This workshop is suitable for ages 5 and above, and each item costs $50.
