Dwayne Morgan, a two-time Canadian National Poetry Slam Champion, has been captivating audiences with his spoken word artistry since 1993. Recognized for his exceptional talent, Morgan has received numerous accolades, including the Toronto Arts Foundation’s Celebration of Cultural Life award in 2022 and the Sheri-D Wilson Golden Beret Award for Career Achievement in the Spoken Word in 2018. His contributions to the arts have earned him induction into the Scarborough Walk of Fame and prestigious awards such as the African Canadian Achievement Award and the Harry Jerome Award for Excellence in the Arts.
Paulina O’Kieffe-Anthony, an award-winning artist, curator, and arts educator, brings her unique vision to the stage. As a TEDx speaker and a vital figure in Toronto's arts scene, O’Kieffe-Anthony has made significant contributions to the community. Her play, How Jab Jab Saved the Pretty Mas, was featured in Piece of Mine’s Black Women in Theatre Festival in 2020. O’Kieffe-Anthony's accomplishments have been recognized with the Toronto Community Foundation Vital People Award and inclusion in CBC's 150 Black Women Making Herstory.
