Chelmsford - Small99's People, Planet, Pint™: Sustainability Meetup | The Ale House

People, Planet, Pint is your local sustainability meetup, where you can find local inspiration and like-minded friends over a drink. Pop down to your local People Planet Pint meetup to find more about what's going on locally with sustainability and how you can get involved. No pitches, powerpoints or panels. Just People, Planet, Pint/s. Your local meetup is a great place to start your journey or continue learning, and meet diverse people to chat about life and how we can sustain it. Every job is a climate job, so come along and learn about how you can take action, as well as what is going on locally. We welcome everyone, regardless of their experience or background. People Planet Pint is a space where everyone can feel comfortable learning about sustainability and sharing their ideas. Afterall, creating a sustainable future requires connected communities. And what better way to bring everyone together than over a drink? Your Volunteer Host Owen Middleton Andrew Wright Our Sponsor KRYSTAL are an award-winning, 100% renewably powered web hosting provider, with datacentres in the UK, US, & Europe. They are climate positive, and their approach centres on value, quality and transparency. We are delighted to announce our partnership with Krystal (the UK's only B Corp web hosting/cloud provider), and welcome them on board as sponsors of the People, Planet, Pint events. This means the first 10 drinks are on Krystal at every event, and has allowed us to invest and upscale the series to accelerate action on climate change. About Small99, Founders of PPP At Small99 , our vision is to build resilient & prosperous communities & companies. We host the UK's fastest-growing sustainability meet-ups, People Planet Pint and People Planet Pastry, which now take place in over 140+ cities across 15 countries, with around 80 events a month. We’re also breaking the mold of traditional sustainability training by empowering teams with the confidence and ownership over positive actions they can take with in person experiences. Since 2023, we have directly trained over 3,000 businesses on Net Zero and carbon reduction and have reached over 50,000 businesses with our events and digital tools. Speed Dating in Chelmsford | Ages 40-55 | The Courtyard Bar Baddow Road
12 Baddow Road, Chelmsford, CM2 0DG

Speed Dating in Chelmsford | Ages 40-55 | The Courtyard Bar Baddow Road

You'll meet up to 15 people in one night at this very cool venue. Welcome to the busiest speed dating event in Chelmsford. Spend Friday evenings with us at The Courtyard and get the chance to meet other fun and eligible singles from local and the surrounding areas. Speed Dating is a great way to meet up to 15-20 people in one night, consisting of lots of short, 4 minute dates. It's great fun and it's the perfect amount of time to decide if you'd like to see them again. After the event you will have access to our unique matching system and find out who you matched with. You'll be chatting again in no time and be meeting up for another date before you know it. Important information This event takes place in the upstairs bar. - Doors open 7.00pm - Event starts 7.30pm - Speed dating finishes approximately 9.30pm - Venue closes 11.30pm It’s essential that you arrive before 7.25pm in order to take part. We might not be able to allow entry if you are late. How it works When you arrive at the venue you’ll meet our friendly hosts. We’ll briefly explain the format of the event and you’ll be straight into your first date. You’ll have 4 minutes to meet and briefly get to know each person. We’ve found that 4 minutes is just long enough to find out if you'd like to see someone again but not too long if you don't. Girls stay at the same table throughout the evening and guys move around the room. After meeting each person, you need to decide if they are a ‘yes’ a ‘no’, or a ‘friend’ and jot down any notes to help you remember them. You'll find out who you matched with the next day and you can message your matches via our app or website. We'll have a short break halfway through for you to top up your drinks. After the event The speed dating is over when you’ve met everybody, but this is often when the fun starts. Most people stay at the bar for a few drinks and get to know the people they like a little better. For more events and no additional booking charges, please visit our website . Beaded Jewellery - Weekly Workshop | 6 New London Rd
6 New London Road, Chelmsford, CM2 0SW

Beaded Jewellery - Weekly Workshop | 6 New London Rd

Beaded Jewellery Event with Mary and Andee, held every Monday We have 2 very skilled artists who volunteer their time to run this workshop: Mary and Andee Mary, started jewellery making about 20 years ago after visiting a craft fair where one of the stalls sold lots of amazing semi precious stones. After a break of 10 years, she visited the Jewellery Class at the Art Place which re-ignited her love for making jewellery. Four years on she is still making and enjoying every minute. Andee is a silversmith, a metalworker who creates objects out of silver or other precious metals, with 15 years experience. Andee is very patient and every week, she brings a new project to the group. How you can use beading jewellery as a mindfulness exercise: "The act of rolling the beads between your fingers is a physical reminder of the intention you set at the outset, and prompts you to return to your breathing and refocus your attention when your mind wanders—and it will wander. Think of your beads as a tool that can help guide you into a deeper meditation practice" All materials are provided. £5 per person The price of this workshop will go towards paying for the space and materials. The workshop is helped by one or more of our volunteers so please always be kind, and respectful as they are giving their time. Be understanding that this is also part of their journey for their own mental health and well-being. Suitable for all ages. But if under 14 years old a parent or guardian should stay with them during the workshop. Place: 6 New London Road, High Chelmer Shopping Centre (previously Chelmer Fine Art). Safety and inclusivity If you have any accessibility requirements, please let us know in advance , and we will do our best to accommodate you. The Art Place is a Creative Community Safe Space and a project of Ideas Hub (reg. charity). We appreciate your support in helping us continue to provide services like this to the community. Check out all our workshops at https://linktr.ee/the_art_place. Thank you for supporting our charity! Information Source: Ideas Hub Chelmsford | eventbrite
