Join the Teen-Prov Stand-Up Comedy Class for High School Students and hone your stand-up comedy skills in a supportive and collaborative environment. This class is specifically designed for ages 13-18 and grades 9-12. Led by veteran stand-up comedian and teacher, Amber Preston, this four-week class will take place on Saturdays from 4:45 PM to 6:45 PM at The Glendale Room, located at 127 Artsakh Avenue in Glendale, CA. The class dates are January 6th, 13th, 20th, and 27th, 2024. The class fee is $200, and to sign up, please email Annethegreg@gmail.com to request a waiver and information sheet. The class will culminate in a final showcase on Saturday, February 3rd, 2024, at 5:00 PM at The Lyric Hyperion, located at 2106 Hyperion Ave. This showcase is free for friends and family to attend. Amber Preston, originally from Fargo, North Dakota, holds a Theater Arts degree from the University of Minnesota. She has performed at prestigious comedy festivals such as San Francisco’s Sketchfest, the Boston Comedy Festival, and the Aspen Rooftop Comedy Festival. Preston has achieved notable recognition in the comedy world, including placing third at the Great American Comedy Festival and winning Best of the Midwest at Gilda’s LaughFest. For attendees requiring an Assisted Listening Device, please submit a written request to the venue operator at least 48 hours prior to the show.
