The San Diego Bay Parade of Lights is a cherished holiday tradition that has brought festive joy to San Diego for over five decades. This year marks the 54th annual celebration, taking place on two evenings, December 8 and December 15, 2024.  Attracting over 100,000 residents and visitors each year, the San Diego Bay Parade of Lights showcases a procession of approximately 80 elaborately adorned boats, making it one of the most iconic events in the region. This year, the parade will once again extend to the pier at Cesar Chavez Park before turning toward Coronado, providing additional vantage points for spectators to enjoy the captivating display. 

 With no cost to view the parade, this event offers an inclusive opportunity to experience the magic of the holiday season along the scenic shores of San Diego Bay. The ticket was very useful. I booked it one evening in advance and received the entry code in the morning. It is worth going. I went in the afternoon and walked for 4 hours. There was no queue for the cable car on Friday evening. I like to see tigers and elephants and ride the cable car the most.
