Heather Cleaves, along with The EP Save A Life Foundation, is organizing an event called "The Heart Experience - A Heart Screening Event For San Diego Athletes" to ensure the safety and readiness of San Diego athletes for the upcoming season. Heather Cleaves, a San Diego native, single mother of 2, basketball photographer, and passionate humanitarian, has personally overcome a serious heart condition at the age of 12. This event is a collaboration with the EP Save A Life Foundation, which was founded by the Paredes family in memory of their son, Eric, with the aim of preventing Sudden Cardiac Arrest/Death (SCA/D) among young individuals. The heart screening event will take place at Cathedral Catholic High School located at Del Mar Heights Road, San Diego on December 9, 2023. Appointments are available from 12:00 pm to 2:00 pm, with new slots opening every 15 minutes. To register, participants need to follow a two-step process: first, reserve a preferred time and complete the ticket purchase, then, retrieve the link provided in the email confirmation to finalize the EP Save A Life registration and provide necessary information about the teen. Mark December 9th on the calendar and bring the completed paperwork to the event.
