Celebrate World Poetry Day at the event "The Poetics of Love: How do I love thee?" in Kingston. Hosted at Duncan McArthur Hall on Union Street, this annual UNESCO event promotes linguistic and cultural diversity through poetic expression. Nigerian poet and Queen’s Faculty of Education doctoral student, Paul Akpomuje, along with poet and Dean of Education, Dr. Rebecca Luce-Kapler, will lead a discussion on the theme of love. Scholars, researchers, and individuals interested in exploring the multifaceted nature of love are encouraged to attend. Participants are invited to share their poems and voices to collectively contemplate the transformative power of love, including decolonial, radical, ecological, and familial love. The event will take place on March 21st and 22nd, 2024, with free admission for all attendees.
