Yale University Art Gallery is the oldest university art museum in the Western Hemisphere, founded in 1832. It is famous for its collection of early art masterpieces. Most of the works come from donations, which also reflects the large number of wealthy families at Yale University and their love for Yale University. Figure 2 is a Syrian mural carving from more than 3,000 years ago. Shocking, after zooming in, you can see that the text carving on it is really a beautiful record. Figure 5 is a wooden carving of Jesus Christ from the 15th century. The expression is lifelike, and the folds of the ropes and clothes are so realistic. The 16th-century safe, the inlaid carvings on the drawers are small, complex and textured. Free to visit, highly recommended!
