TWOOMPH! In-Person Special - Words of Resilience | Cafe Etch

Join in on the excitement of TWOOMPH! In-Person Special - Words of Resilience, a remarkable one-time event set to take place on January 25, 2024, in Middlesbrough. This special gathering serves as the official launch of our 2024 programme and promises to bring us all together for an evening of soul-nourishing fun. Set in the cosy and quirky atmosphere of Cafe Etch, attendees can look forward to an early evening filled with inspirational words that will fuel our resilience for the year ahead.

Writers of all genders are warmly welcomed to participate in the open mic session, where they can share their uplifting, rallying, comforting, and inspiring poetry or prose works. Whether it's your own original creations or words from your favorite authors, we encourage you to join us and contribute to the energizing atmosphere. Each participant will have a maximum of 5 minutes or 3 poems to showcase their talent.

Our delightful host, Rue Collinge, will also be bringing writerly shenanigans and games to the event, ensuring a memorable experience for all. As an added bonus, we invite you to bring any unwanted books from your collection or regifts from Christmas to our swapsies table, where you can find new treasures. Please book your spot in advance so that we can inform the cafe of the expected numbers. While the kitchen will be closed, tea, coffee, cakes, and crisps will be available for purchase.
