Our Basketball recruitment event is a great opportunity for you to assess whether the University of Portsmouth, your course and your sport are the right fit for you. You’ll get to meet our coaches and have a training session, where our coaches can assess your ability, and give you a chance to speak with our current squad. You can find out more about the support we give to our top-level scholar student-athletes and our focus sports. We currently have three teams competing in the South-Eastern region of the BUCS leagues, and links with a National League team, which our top athletes play in. Men's 1st Team: Tier 1Men's 2nd Team: Tier 2Women's Team: Tier 2Timings for the Basketball recruitment event are: 3.00pm - 3.30pm: Welcome Talk - Sport at Portsmouth, Scholarships and UOP Basketball Club programme (in Ravelin Sports Centre teaching room) 3.30pm - 5.00 pm: Practical session (in Ravelin Sports Centre sports hall) 5.00pm - .5.30pm: Opportunity for you to ask the club coaches and current members any questions Please ensure you wear appropriate sports kit, and bring refreshments with you. We have toilets, showers and a cafe on site which will be available for you.
