Repair Cafe | theDock - Centre for Social Impact

A welcoming, hands-on gathering where community members come together to fix, learn, and connect. Got something a bit broken or worn down? Bring it. Whether it’s a wobbly chair, a beloved jacket, a small appliance, or something you’re not even sure can be fixed… bring it along. You might be surprised what’s possible when we work on things together. This isn’t just about repairs — it’s about building a culture of fixing instead of tossing, sharing skills across generations, and creating space for curiosity, creativity, and care. You don’t need to be an expert. If you like tinkering, problem-solving, or just learning as you go, you’re more than welcome. All abilities, backgrounds, and skill levels are invited — from seasoned fixers to first-time experimenters. We’re especially excited to welcome folks interested in: General tinkering and creative problem-solving Small household items and appliances Electronics Clothing and textile mending Jewelry, watches, and trinkets Bike repair …and anything else you’re curious to try! At the Repair Café, nothing has to be perfect — it’s about giving things (and skills) a second life. Information Source: theDock - Centre for Social Impact | eventbrite

DRIFT with Impact | Floating with the Whales | The Parkside Hotel & Spa

An immersive event in honor of Oceans Week. Floating Sound Bath with added whale songs in support of Raincoast Conservation Foundation. DRIFT with Impact | Floating with the Whales A special World Oceans Week floating sound meditation In honour of World Oceans Week (May 30–June 8) , join us for a special edition of DRIFT inspired by the sounds of our coast. For this immersive floating sound meditation, Ocean Networks Canada has generously provided authentic whale songs recorded in our coastal waters. The experience will open and close with several minutes of these powerful underwater vocalizations, creating a moving frame for the journey, while Pilar Munoz guides a restorative floating sound meditation with crystal alchemy bowls, gongs, and sacred instruments. As you drift effortlessly in our warm, peaceful pool, sound waves move through both water and body, inviting deep relaxation, release, and renewal. Supported by water and surrounded by soothing sound, this is a chance to experience meditation in a uniquely immersive way. This Oceans Week edition also gives back. A portion of ticket sales will be donated to Raincoast Conservation Foundation to support killer whale research and protection. Killer whales live in a world of sound. Their calls help maintain family bonds, coordinate movement, and sustain the cultures that support their survival. But increasing ocean noise is disrupting that vital communication. Your participation helps support research and conservation efforts to better protect these remarkable beings and the health of our coast. Come float, listen, and connect to the ocean in a new way. Reconnect. Rebalance. Give Back. Please note: If there is not 10 participants signed up, session will be canceled. Participants will be notified with 72 hours notice and will be given the option to move to a different time or receive a refund. Information Source: The Parkside Hotel & Spa | eventbrite
