Join the Mend Your Clothes workshop at Kirkstall Forge in Leeds and embrace the art of visible mending. This session offers a unique opportunity to learn mending techniques that not only celebrate but also highlight the repair process. Discover the art of patching using various embroidery techniques, as well as darning and sashiko stitches. Bring your clothes in need of repair or experiment with a variety of samples using our fabrics. The workshop will take place at Butlers, Kirkstall Forge, conveniently located near a train station. Kirkstall Forge is committed to promoting sustainability, but if you require parking, simply let us know in advance. Please note that the cafe will not be open, however, feel free to bring your own drinks and snacks. Your safety is our priority, and we will provide hand sanitiser, enforce social distancing, and limit workshop spaces. If you are feeling unwell, experiencing symptoms of Covid-19, or have been in contact with someone who has, please inform us so that we can reschedule your session. In the event of another lockdown, the workshop will be postponed to a later date. Please be aware that the workshop requires a minimum number of participants to proceed. If this requirement is not met, the workshop will be cancelled. Secure your booking by making a payment, and remember that cancellations made up to 7 days before the event will be eligible for a refund. We kindly request that you do not arrive more than 10 minutes before the scheduled start time, unless previously arranged.
