Family-friendly Hotels in Anhui, China

We arrived at hotel wet n cold after hiking on a rainy day. We booked a triple bedder room at B block not knowing that it was away from main building. The hotel staff 纪洁was quick to react and switched us to main building as B block was 5 min away. At 11am, they let us check in so we could change into dry clothes. During the stay,,纪洁attended to us with care and warmth, sending us snacks and fruits, giving us weather alerts to see sunrise n sunset. The room is clean and spacious with comfortable beds n good quality pillows n duvet. Batyun meets our needs during our 2 nights stay n we are happy to recommend to anyone. Location is middle of Huangshan so easily accessible to hiking trails. From Yungu, we hiked the east or back mountains to reach Baiyun. It took us 3 hours. On the day it snowed, the hotel even provide us gloves n crampons n urge us to be careful. What a fantastic service from Baiyun and the staff. Thank you 纪洁for taking such good care of us.

Perfect stay in this amazing mountain. The hotel is well located. Staff is really available to make the stay comfortable. Hotel has all services you need, you forget that you are on the top of a mountain with no access by road. Good job to all people who carry all the stuff on their strong shoulders ! Room was clean, very confortable bed. On the morning the hotel organize a sunrise tour and you have a special jacket in your room as it is quite cold in the morning. The food is great with plenty of delicious choices. I highly recommend.

Great location to visit Huangshan scenic areas. You can easily get here from the Gao Tie or high-speed train station by public transportation, which is inexpensive only 30 RMB one way. The hotel front desk staff are very friendly and helpful.

Hotel was great - particularly as it's on top of a mountain - and that in itself is special! Costs for everything are expensive but fair considering the location. The room is fairly small (but very functional), you won't need space as you won't have luggage. Room comes with warm jackets and a torch so you don't need to bring those things for a sunset/sunrise. We were in what seemed like a newer block so the interior was modern. Shower was hot and decent. Breakfast and dinner (180 yuan per person) had impressive variety considering everything gets up the mountain on a cable car and then manually carried to the hotel. Location is good as it's next to the Taiping cableway but we walked from the popular Yuping cableway carrying small overnight packs. It is very possible in one day! We descended the next day via the Yungu cableway which was a much easier walk. Note the closest lookout for both is a 20min uphill walk with the path starting from the hotel (and another path for those who aren't staying there.) We saw a spectacular sunset and not much of a sunrise. Both were well worth it but of course you're at the mercy of the weather. Receptionists could speak basic English and will also give you bottles of water and communicate weather and sunset conditions to you via WeChat. If you can't understand Mandarin you can use the translate function in WeChat. Free laundry service too but we didn't use it.

Everything about the hotel exceeded my expectations. From the quality of the hotel’s breakfast and location to the responsiveness of our assigned caretaker: 小河(XiaoHe). Upon arrival I added 小河’s WeChat and was shown - on a map - what I could expect to see given the length of our stay. I was even given information about the likelihood of a clear sunset/sunrise - and when my girlfriend needed it 小河 called the mountain clinic to purchase Pain killers! My favorite part of the hotel will have to be its location. It’s a 30 minute walk from YunGu cablecar, a 10 minute walk from a good sunset/sunrise spot!

The hotel is located a few hundred metres from the Huangshan Mountain south entrance. You may walk 10-15mins to the entrance, alternatively there is a free hotel shuttle to the entrance. The room is spacious and modern with smart controls. The automated toilet bowl in my room did not work well as it flushes even when not in use. Hence a sleep disturbance . There is a bus stop just outside the hotel where the mountain tourist bus stops on the mountain downward route which is very convenient especially after a long day visiting the mountain.

This hotel is about 8 to 10 minutes walk to the HuangShan North Train station. We walked. On a cool day, its ok. The room is spacious. The place is clean and nit. Breakfast variety was good, though we felt it could have been better. Overall, we have a satisfied experience and will likely return if we were to be in HuangShan North Station again.

The room was tastefully appointed with modern amenities, including a water boiler and a secure deposit box. My stay was exceptionally delightful. The room's expansive layout and carefully considered design enhanced its overall comfort. The capacious and exquisitely cozy bed, harmoniously combined with the room's color palette and decor, established an aesthetically pleasing ambiance. 4. The buffet offerings were a feast of opulence and indulgence. We savored the extensive array of dishes. Additionally, the executive Club lounge on the 24th floor presented an opulent buffet dinner alongside an array of delightful beverages. The buffet breakfast on the first floor consistently maintained a high standard. The buffets presented were resplendent, featuring a plethora of options for us to relish. 5. The reception staff warrants special recognition, embodying not only friendliness but also impressive efficiency and accommodation. In particular, Ms. He (何小姐）, from the Service Center, exuded a warm and welcoming demeanor. I was elated when my modest request for a late check-out was graciously fulfilled. Such a positive service attitude is undeniably commendable. My sole regret is that my stay at the Intercontinental Hotel was confined to a single day. The next time I have the opportunity to visit Hefei, I will assuredly opt for the InterContinental Hotel once more!

We needed to show our passports at every entry or boarding point, as the electronic tickets were linked to our passport numbers. The hotel we stayed at is a nice one, located right next to the Yuping cable car. However, be prepared to climb another 15 minutes to reach the hotel. We arrived early at 10 am, so our room was not available yet. We left our small backpacks at the hotel and trekked to the Bright Summit. Along the way, we saw monkeys and passed by the Baiyun Hotel. By the time we returned to Yupinglou Hotel, it was almost evening. The trek was scenic but very tiring, with many stairs. Our kind and helpful host, Yu Jian, from Yupinglou Hotel was in constant contact with us through WeChat and recommended places to visit. This hotel is closest to the Celestial Capital Peak, but I was too tired to climb it the next morning. I highly recommend climbing this peak and will do it if I have the chance to visit again. Overall, it’s a nice hotel to stay in. Don’t expect too many luxuries, as it’s located on top of a rugged mountain. Even the vegetables and food need to be carried by porters to the hotels, which is no easy task.

My family booked it for me. I came here to try it out. It was pretty good and worth the money. My granddaughter liked the chicken noodle soup. The girl at the front desk also gave me a baby toy, which was very thoughtful. The carpets in the room were clean, which made people feel at ease.

During our trip, we had the pleasure of staying at Yujian No.8 on Huangshan Tunxi Old Street, and it quickly became our favorite accommodation. This hotel beautifully blends traditional charm with modern amenities, creating a truly enchanting experience. The interior and exterior of the hotel are stunning, almost magical in their appeal. Everywhere you look, you'll find touches of history and culture, from Chinese traditional arts like qin music and calligraphy to poetry and pictures that add to the ambiance. The service at Yujian No.8 was excellent, with staff members who were attentive but not intrusive, ensuring that our stay was comfortable and enjoyable. One of the highlights was the simple, healthy, homecooked breakfast served each morning, a perfect start to our days of exploration. Overall, Yujian No.8 surpassed our expectations and left us with lasting memories. If you're looking for a hotel that offers a unique blend of history, culture, and modern comforts, this is the place to stay.

My parents and I came to climb Mount Huangshan and stayed in Old Street the night before. The front desk staff was very responsible for guiding the parking and told me that there is no charge for parking at the entrance of the hotel. If you park inside, you will be charged for parking. The room is a duplex with three beds. The bedding is of suitable softness and hardness, and the size of the house is also good. Just a few minutes walk to the old street. The staff inside are very nice. The security guard also helped press the elevator button.

The hotel's location is superb. Subway station right to the corner. Mini market next to the main entrance. Within walking to Huaihe pedestrian street and Bao Garden. The breakfast serve at the revolving restaurant on the top floor with 360° view is the bonus for guests.

The hotel is located in the Hi-Tech Zone, with a subway station downstairs and convenient transportation. Yintai across the street is very convenient for dining and shopping. The hotel has good hardware and good service, and it is very cost-effective. I will recommend it to my friends.

Following a hiccup during check-in, the experience at this hotel was positive. The manager provided excellent service and the room was quiet, with a nice view. Location is excellent (next to the walking street and a large mall, with great dining options). The breakfast is Chinese, and could benefit from a couple of choices appropriate for foreign guests.

It was my first time staying at The Langham Hefei, but I can also say it was my third as I extended my stay twice. The staff's courtesy, warmth and the right level of care started right at the moment I entered the hotel lobby. The wall to wall and floor to ceiling marble can be cold, but The Langham Hefei 's lobby feels warm and welcoming due to the yellow hue of its lighting I believe and its staff. I immediately smelled flowers after I stepped in the lobby, pleasant, not overwhelming. It came from a huge bouquet composed of hundreds of pink lilies, not the pink roses representing The Langham. I prefer lily's smell anyway. The bouquet is by the front desk, so guests could enjoy lilies while waiting for check-in. As a matter of fact, I waited no time. Ada Yang greeted me immediately and checked me in within 2 minutes. I was very glad I moved from the other 5-star hotel which I had been told was the ceiling of the Hefei hotel scene. It took that hotel 10 minutes to check me in. The breakfast experience at The Langham Hefei was also great! The Seasons restaurant is big enough so that the seating was always available whenever I went down, which was not the case at the other hotel. In addition to daily cleaning, House keeping also came in the afternoon to make sure every everything is in good order and ask if additional supplies are needed. After two nights stay, I decided to change my original hotel hopping plan and continued staying at The Langham Hefei. It was again Ada Yang who helped me with the extension. She was warm, professional and efficient as always. Due to my itinerary change, I extended my stay the second time. This time it was Kristen He (XIAO He) who helped me. I experienced the same Langham quality from Xiao He - courtesy, warmth, knowledge and efficiency. She explained to me the responsibilities of each front line role and Langham's efforts to optimize guests' experience.She even went extra miles to ask her manager's permission to give me a complimentary Happy Hour. The Happy Hour is on the 44th floor at The Langham Club where mini buffet and beverage are provided 5:30 - 8:00pm. The staff there, Tracy, Lucy and Anne, were equally exceptional! They were proactive and ready to help. I asked for a Cosmo, but the cranberry juice had run out. Lucy made one with grapefruit juice and it tasted wonderful! Thank you, Ada, Xiao He, Tracy, Lucy, Ann and each every staff I met, you made my stay a memorable one!

I just started staying at this hotel, and the overall feeling is very good. This time, my friend also came to Hefei and stayed at this hotel together. Very nice room and comfortable bed. Swimming pool was large had the right temperature. The gym is spacious with all the right equipment. Morning breakfast was excellent choices. If you are a runner there are two parks nearby to run. Use the motorbike lanes to run for in the early morning.

Very beautiful homestay, just enter the south gate of Hongcun and turn right through a semicircular doorway! The owner is very enthusiastic and considerate. He wanted to pick me up at the south gate of Hongcun, but I said no, it's easy to find! The decoration is relatively simple, clean and hygienic, and the bedding is also very comfortable! It's very close to Nanhu, Yuezhao, and Chengzhitang, and it only takes a few minutes to walk there! I had a meal at the inn at noon, and guests can get a 12% discount. It was delicious! The owner also picked fruits from the yew tree in the inn for me to eat. It was the first time I ate this kind of fruit, soft, sticky and sweet! Very pleasantly surprised!

Located inside the ancient village, within walking distance to POI, owner is friendly and attractive, even free upgrade our room to a newly build room and more convenient for in out access, he also offer pickup fron the entrance, btw is pickup ur luggage ya. 1 of thd must visit place if you plan to hike HuangShan i.e Yellow Mountain. Room come with all amenities Bed is comfortable!

Wonderful place! Really like the architecture and what a luxury to have a bath! 这个房子很美丽！值得带！The staff was very friendly. I give 4 stars on service and not 5 as I have been spoilt by exceptional service in other places where hosts gave explanations about the location or helped with practicalities. One tip: get rid of mosquitos before guests check in or provide a mosquito net above the bed.

The environment of this hotel is very elegant, quiet and comfortable, suitable for getting away from the hustle and bustle. The service attitude is very good, warm and thoughtful, and the boss specially picked us up. After storing the luggage and going out for a walk, the boss also specially sent it to the door for us. This was a trip that I took my 86 years old mom to travel with me. After a long bullet train ride and shuttle ride, Banyan Tree Huangshan gave us a warm welcome by upgrading our room to a villa. The place is beautifully designed, nested in a valley with traditional Hui style building. Inside the rooms, they have the western style bedroom and bathroom comforts, but the deco is traditional Chinese arts with a modern twist, very elegant, not the tacky hotel chain style but details that fits the surrounding nature beauty. All the rooms and facilities are very clean, and service people are very nice too. We had the front desk clerk Sweet, who updated our stay and a room cleaning lady May Zhang who helped us with our needs. Very thankful to their help! The outside garden design blends in with the surrounding mountains. They even have a petting zoo for visitors young and old. We dined in their Chinese restaurant the first night. The foods were good but I won't say exceptional. For two of us, it was way too much in food quantity for one order. We felt bad to waste food this way. Wish they have had smaller choices. But their breakfast is very impressive. And even though they are very close to Hong Village where the shuttle stops, they did not offer free shuttle which I think they should. I highly recommend this place and will travel back with my other family members in the future. 我和我86岁的妈妈旅行到黄山附近， 住的第一家旅店就是悦榕庄。不得不说，印象深刻。整个山庄外观是徽州传统建筑+现代设计，高挑壮观。Villa的庭院设计轻松惬意，完全融入周围的自然景观。室内非常干净，西式的床和卫生间舒适温馨，很容易消除旅途的疲倦。装饰很典雅，是传统中国书画兼有现代的元素，赏心悦目。 我们天刚黑时到达， 很快感受到温暖贴心的服务。前台给我们免费升级房间， 让我们渡过了愉悦的两天。 早上在庭院里跑步是个美好的体验， 健身房也比一般希尔顿或是万豪好很多。 我们第一晚在饭店的中餐厅吃的，不错但没有特别让人印象深刻。早餐则不同， 选择非常多且很多精致可口的饭菜。 尽管他们离宏村很近但不提供免费接送，这样你从机场或是高铁站坐接送车到此，还需要打车或是付比打车高很多的车费到达悦榕庄。我个人认为这完全可以改进。 我非常推荐黄山悦榕庄，以后还会带其他家人来住。谢谢你们周到的服务！

The stay at Hongcun Zuoxian Art Hotel was remarkable. Received a call from the host (小李管家) while on the way to confirm my arrival time and needs. She even helped me arrange a driver to pick us up from the Huangshan North train station at a reasonable cost. Driver (李师傅) was friendly and gave us lots of tips while visiting Huangshan and we ended up using his services throughout the 3 days we were there. When we arrived, 小李管家 was right at the hotel entrance waiting for my for us and checkin into our rooms was a breeze. Rooms were clean with all the amenities you will need for a comfortable stay. Most impressive was the hotel layout and design which was very artsy and minimalist for a place like Hongcun. It was simply amazing! Me and my family especially loved the lobby and the coziness especially in front of the fireplace during winter. Hotel Location was within walking distance (200m) to Hongcun Ancient village and around 40mins drive to Huangshan mountain and around 1.5hrs drive to the Huangshan North Station or Tunxi Ancient Street. Will definitely recommend this hotel to all our friends and relatives if they are planning to visit Huangshan one day!!!

A beautiful homestay, especially the tea room, study, and small meeting room on the first floor, which are beautifully colored and perfect in details. The second floor is the guest room, the third floor is the restaurant and terrace, and there is an elevator. The room is also clean and spacious. The breakfast is particularly good, the auntie is friendly, the terrace has a good view (Figure 10), and parking is also convenient. The only drawback is that the environment at the door is average, the homestay is not along the road, and a sign can be erected on the road. It is easy to miss, and it takes about 10 minutes to walk to Hongcun.

In fact, the main reason for staying here is to eat the chestnut chicken cooked by the boss, hahahaha! I don't really like nostalgic style accommodations, but I couldn't help but choose to stay here because the accommodation is cost-effective. I'm not disappointed, but I was pleasantly surprised. The kittens, puppies, birds, and the enthusiastic couple were enough to make the small home more warm and full of life. The boss’s craftsmanship is really good!
