My stay at Shangri-La Baotou far exceeded my expectations! Even before checking in, I received a call from the hotel arranging the room according to my preferences. Upon arrival, the concierge proactively helped with luggage, and the front desk staff were warm and meticulous, introducing the hotel's restaurants and fitness center. The room was clean and hygienic! I've had their shaomai before and it was good, but this time I was particularly impressed by the new mutton buns at breakfast – absolutely amazing! My family really enjoyed the freshly fried dough sticks. Overall, the entire check-in process was excellent, and the hotel's location is superb! It's only about a 15-minute drive from the highway exit! Finally, a special shout-out to Avila Wang.

First off, the location is truly excellent, a unique advantage. There's a hot spring hotel right next door where you can enjoy a soak. However, the overall management and service facilities are severely lacking! Let's start with the hygiene: urine stains on the toilet seat, hair everywhere you look, and debris falling from the ceiling when you turn on the 'starry sky' light – I honestly don't know what to say. Then there's the service; it feels like there's barely any service at all. For example, regarding the hot spring tickets included in the package, shouldn't you remind guests beforehand to bring their own swimsuits? (Mine cost over 300 yuan!) And for the volcano tickets, shouldn't you confirm guest information and redeem them in advance? (When I was ready to leave and went to the front desk for the tickets, they told me to buy them on the spot, then I had to provide my ID again and go to another ticket office to exchange them. This whole process took a good half hour!) I can accept your high prices, but at the very least, your service and hygiene should match. I hope you see this review and make improvements. Don't disappoint customers who've traveled so far to get here!

I stayed at the Shangri-La during my May Day holiday trip to Hohhot. I was a bit worried beforehand about the hotel being older, but the reliable service exceeded my expectations. The location is excellent; it's a short walk to MixC Shopping Mall, and not far from Dazhao Temple and Saishang Old Street, making getting around very convenient. I stayed in an Executive Suite, which had a one-bedroom, one-living room layout. The separate living room and bedroom made for a spacious and bright environment, perfect for traveling with two kids. They had already arranged an extra bed for my older child and a cot for the younger one before we checked in. The most delightful surprise was how the hotel showcased the grassland culture everywhere. The lobby featured yurts and hada (ceremonial scarves) to welcome guests, and horse-themed artworks were visible throughout. You could even try on Mongolian robes for a free photo op, allowing us to experience the rich Inner Mongolian culture without even leaving the hotel. Breakfast also had a strong local flavor. There were freshly made lamb shaomai, authentic lamb offal soup, and Mongolian milk tea – all the local specialties you could wish for. The Executive Lounge offered soft drinks, snacks, and fruits all day. During happy hour, the light dinner included about six hot dishes, with main courses ranging from shaomai to pizza and sushi. The service, from the doorman to the cleaning staff, was warm and attentive. The swimming pool was heated, and the fitness facilities were well-equipped. As an established five-star hotel in Hohhot, it's well-maintained overall and highly recommended!

Travelling with a party of four so this was one of the places that offered bigger rooms for 4. Nicely located above a large shopping mall so food options were a plenty. Cleanliness was generally good but there was a smoke smell emitting from the aircon and some of the lights were too dim/not working. The name on Trip.com is different from that found on the sign outside unit 2410 (the check in address) so was confused momentarily. The staff lady was very helpful and polite. For the price, given its location and quality, I think it’s worth a stay.

The hotel's surroundings are very pleasant. There's a botanical garden right next door where the hostas were recently in full bloom, making it a lovely place for a walk if you have time. The room itself was quite spacious, and the view from the floor-to-ceiling window was excellent. Both the front desk and housekeeping staff were very warm and helpful. The only minor drawback was that the air conditioning wasn't very effective, requiring a bit of patience for the room to cool down.

The hotel is great, beyond my imagination, the hotel newly opened in 2026, the hotel front desk has a convenience box! The rooms are equipped with smart toilet electric curtains. , The front desk lady is super enthusiastic, there is a question and answer type, will recommend the play guide, bought a discount Inner Mongolia Cultural Tourism cartoon. The hotel aunts are super sensitive and will remind you to wear more clothes and clean the rooms in time. , Highly recommend this hotel! ! !

The twin beds were perfect for our family of four (two adults, two kids)! 👍 The room itself was incredibly clean, can't fault it. The location was great too, very convenient for getting around. They offer free parking with plenty of spaces available. And the revolving restaurant for breakfast was a really nice touch! 😀

The hotel's dining service is also commendable. The breakfast offers both Chinese and Western options, all of which are quite delicious. The restaurant staff are friendly and helpful, making for a pleasant dining experience. At night, the room is exceptionally quiet, completely undisturbed by outside noise. After staying here for a few days, I felt completely relaxed, both physically and mentally. I would definitely stay at this hotel again if I have the chance!

HHuafengmenchuangzhizuoshuangjingxiangTraveling solo, I arrived too late at the Inner Mongolia Museum to even glance around, so I booked another night to rest. The guesthouse is more of an apartment-style stay. The actual hotel is through a glass door next to where you check in, then you take an elevator to your floor. (The property security is to the right as you enter.) I found the hygiene to be quite average; I even saw a cockroach after waking up in the middle of the night. The facilities are complete with air conditioning, a washing machine, and a refrigerator. There's a water heater for showers, but the water turns cold after a while, so you need to mind your shower time. There were some construction materials piled up outside the door of my room, causing a slight odor.

GGuest UserKe Xin provided excellent service, helping me with my luggage and getting a taxi. The Tuga Camp has a viewing deck where you can watch the sunrise in the morning. Unfortunately, it was cloudy the day I arrived, and it was quite cold in mid-June, but the room itself was very comfortable. The air conditioning was powerful! The panoramic view rooms are especially good; you can watch the grasslands and the afterglow of the sunset right from your room – it's absolutely beautiful! The room was well-equipped, the bathroom was clean with strong water pressure, and the toiletries were of good quality. Highly recommended!

GGuest UserTaking advantage of the May Day holiday, I spontaneously embarked on a trip without much planning, intending to decide things as I went along. My classmate's mother recommended this hotel. To find a 5-star guesthouse-level hotel at this price during May Day was truly exceptional value for money. The hotel environment is excellent; although some areas were undergoing renovation, it didn't detract from the overall guest experience. The front office manager was incredibly welcoming, asking about our travel plans and offering genuine advice, such as visiting Dazhao Temple in the evening and reminding us about the significant temperature difference between day and night, suggesting we dress warmly. On my second day, I had originally planned to go to Chilechuan and then the desert, but she advised me to visit the desert first and then Chilechuan if time permitted. I readily took her advice, and the trip turned out to be perfect. The hotel's breakfast was fantastic and highly recommended. I look forward to staying here again during the summer holidays!

AAnonymous UserThe room was clean, spacious, bright, and comfortable. The staff were friendly and welcoming. Breakfast was a semi-buffet with staple options like shaomai and plain noodles, and the savory milk tea was delicious. The hotel's location is excellent, right in the center of major attractions. To the north are Dazhao Temple, Xilitu Zhao Temple, and Saishang Old Street. To the south are Guanyin Temple and Baoerhan Pagoda. Next door is the yet-to-be-opened Labuqi Zhao Temple. The silver Buddha and dragon carvings inside Dazhao Temple, along with the dragon carvings in the ancient Buddha hall of Xilitu Zhao Temple, are well-preserved and exquisitely crafted – truly stunning to see. Also, the ice-boiled lamb at Zecheng is incredibly tasty; the Dazhao Siheyuan branch is the closest to the hotel, just a few minutes' walk according to navigation.

GGuest UserI can’t recommend Stars Pasture (Xingchen Muju) enough. It truly exceeded all our expectations. We took our family to Huitengxile Grassland, and even before we arrived, we felt the owner’s kindness. He personally came out to help with our luggage and asked about our breakfast preferences for the next day. During our chat, he also shared great tips on nearby activities, which made planning much easier. The deluxe room we booked was much more spacious than we expected, with endless grassland right outside the door. Watching horses and cattle graze in front of our window was amazing. The room was very well equipped. The hairdryer worked well, hot water was plentiful, and they even provided disposable towels, which made everything feel extra clean and comfortable. The bed was soft and cozy, and at night, we could see the beautiful starry sky right from the window. The food was absolutely amazing. The lamb tripe soup in the morning was rich, flavorful, and incredibly comforting. I ended up having several bowls! For dinner, we ordered roasted lamb chops and other local specialties, and everything was delicious. My whole family loved it. You definitely don’t have to worry about food here; the quality is excellent. Plus, the Huanghuagou Scenic Area and other attractions are very close by, so there’s plenty to explore. Overall, we had a wonderful stay. The place is clean, the food is fantastic, and most importantly, the owner’s genuine hospitality made us feel at home. We’re very grateful for how well he took care of us during our visit, and we would come back again. I highly recommend it to anyone visiting the grassland!

ZZhoujinchen~The room was pretty good. This seemed to be the cheapest room type with a bathtub (and complimentary bathtub liner). They offer a free extra bed for kids. Even with the extra bed, we could still open our 28-inch suitcase. I saw the cheapest room without a tub, and it was indeed too small. The hotel facilities are excellent, with lots of entertainment options, including sports, arcade games, and a kids' playground. Sandboards and sand toys are also provided. The outdoor splash pool is large and beautiful; it would probably be great for swimming in the summer. Although the hotel is massive, they have a mini-train service for transfers, which the kids absolutely loved. Even during the May Day holiday when the hotel was full, we didn't have to wait too long for transfers. The food variety changed quite a bit over our two-day stay, so we didn't get bored. Drinks are free-flowing on the ground floor lounge and third floor, so basically, besides shopping, you don't need to spend any other money here. I personally felt that the quality and variety of dishes were better when there were more people. Most of the staff provided excellent service, especially the front-door staff. They were always friendly and helpful when we came and went, proactively assisting with anything we asked. They truly are the face of the hotel! Downsides: 1. The hotel was a bit warm. We were told the air conditioning couldn't cool at the time in the room. It only got less hot when we left the curtains open and let the sun in. The restaurants and other areas weren't very cool either. I wonder if it cools down in the summer; it might be unbearable for people sensitive to heat. 2. During the May Day holiday, there seemed to be too many part-time staff who clearly lacked pre-job training, especially in the restaurant! During dinner, a young server dropped a bowl while clearing dishes. I watched as the oil splattered all over our table, and the clothes of my family members sitting nearby got oil spots all over their backs. Two or three girls picked up the bowl and continued clearing the table, completely disregarding whether anyone around them had been splashed. I didn't even receive an apology. When I saw my family's backs, I realized the food on the table must have been contaminated, and I instantly lost my appetite. I asked the server, ”You splattered us, shouldn't we at least get an apology and a wet wipe to clean up?” The server said she also got splashed, which is why she didn't realize. I feel this isn't the kind of service I should expect from a hotel that costs over 5,500 yuan per night. If only I had received an apology immediately after the bowl dropped, I would have said, ”No worries!” 3. The dry-wet separation shower stall had no place to put clothes. If the children were older, it probably wouldn't be suitable to share the same room, as showering would be inconvenient.

GGuest UserFor my trip to Xiangshawan, I specifically booked a stay at the tent camp, and the overall experience far exceeded my expectations – I have to give it a glowing review! Upon arriving at the camp's front desk, the staff greeted me with constant smiles. Check-in was very efficient, and they meticulously explained the shuttle bus routes, precautions for the temperature difference between day and night, and the camp's amenities. All my questions were patiently answered without any perfunctory responses; the service was attentive and professional, instantly making a great impression. Many people worry about desert tents being unhygienic or getting sand inside, but this place completely alleviated my concerns. The inside of the tent was spotless, with clean floors, bedding, and an independent bathroom, all free of sand and dust. The tables and chairs were neatly arranged, and the damp-proofing and sand-proofing were very well done, making for a highly comfortable stay. It felt nothing like a rudimentary camping experience. The camp is nestled among the sand dunes, offering expansive views. In the evening, you can watch the sunset over the vast desert, and at night, gaze up at the Milky Way and countless stars – the ambiance is absolutely fantastic. With excellent service combined with clean and comfortable accommodation, it offers great value for money. If you're visiting Xiangshawan and want a unique desert accommodation experience, this tent camp is a must-book!
