Family-friendly Hotels in Liaoning, China

This Hotel is very nice and located in the Center, close to the Railway station and many POI. The staff is friendly and tries to support the guests. The English language skills could be improved. Unfortunately the Hotel and the rooms definitely need an extensive renovation. In our room several electric plug-sockets had been damaged, which is a severe danger. Also the control-units for the AC showed marks of overheating and damages. The interior of the rooms and bathroom showed marks of abrasion and cheap repairs. With this actions this Hotel could be one of the best in Dalian.

The original reason why I booked Kaiyuan Mercure Hotel on Ctrip was that the hotel was near Dalian Railway Station, close to the downtown bus station and subway station, and convenient for travel. After our group of four checked in on September 16, we found that the hotel was clean and hygienic, the front desk was warm and welcoming, and the service was thoughtful. So I immediately booked a room for two days on September 17 and 18. The three-night stay felt like home, the hotel had a rich breakfast, and there was a laundry room for the convenience of guests. It was very thoughtful and the cost-effectiveness of the stay was extremely high.

Really lovely hotel, great location near Russian Street and such friendly service. Dalian is a great city to visit and Nikko excellent choice of hotel.

The hotel is 10-15mins walk from the subway station, close to restaurants and there is a mall next to the hotel.

The staff were very friendly and professional. The bathroom floor tiles have some water damage but overall the hotel was spotless and I especially loved the delivery robot. That was fun

It's my first time staying at Furama Hotel. It's luxurious and classy, ​​with rich breakfast. Especially the supervisor Cao Hongyan, waiter Song Yi and a temporary male waiter are all warm and thoughtful. Thank you very much🙏

I had a fantastic stay at Guoshi Hotel in Dalian. The location is superb, just a quick 5-minute drive from the conference center, making it incredibly convenient for business travelers. Additionally, the hotel is close to several popular tourist attractions, allowing for easy exploration of the city during downtime. The drop off street is narrow, but the driver can still drop you off at the entrance. The staff was exceptional—always friendly, professional, and eager to assist with any requests. They allowed us to use the conference room and a late check out. The rooms were clean, comfortable, and well-equipped with all the necessary amenities. I would have loved coffee in my room, but they have a coffee machine at the lobby. I recommend Guoshi Hotel for anyone visiting Dalian, whether for business or leisure. It's the perfect blend of convenience, comfort, and outstanding service!

This is our 3rd night with this hotel after we visited Dandong on 12.09.2024. We enjoyed to stay this hotel because it is new & the location just in 200 metres away from Shenyang Palace museum. 200 metres away from metro Huiyuanmen station. Hotel is clean Staff is friendly Location good We will come back to this hotel if we visit again Shenyang.

I liked this hotel because it locats in the centre of the city, subway station is a few minutes walk. It is so convenient to get around in the city. The room size is ok, and the carpets are a bit of worn-out. I liked the swimming pool, it made my stay a lot better and no bath in the bathroom was not relevant anymore.

The room was nice however overall this hotel was below our expectations in a few ways, given the price paid. 1) The check in process took 15 minutes and was quite frustrating with repeated questions. We are foreigners (but speak Chinese), so our passports had to be registered, however the steps could have all been done by taking a photo of our passport rather than us standing there after a long journey. It would also be better if they could have just asked us to sit down to wait, or told us approximately how long this process would take. 2) There are only two slow lifts servicing the entire building, with the amenities and reception floor on level 26, which is on a separate floor to all of the guest rooms. During peak times we waited a long time for lifts. 3) There are not enough laundry machines (only 2 washers and dryers) and we had to wait every time. 4) The gym is too basic. No weights, mats or aircon. 5) the daily housekeeping is not comprehensive. We were out of tissue paper for 4 out of the 5 days we stayed, and the rubbish was not always cleared.

This is an honest review that is not meant to dissuade anyone but to offer a thorough unbiased review. My opinion of New World before my stay was that it was a 5 star hotel, it certainly wasn't horrible, but after my stay and comparing to other Dalian hotels in its league that I've stayed in, think it doesn't fit the bill for a 5 star hotel. I can't complain about the service, Check in was swift and we got a free room upgrade and spa coupons, but the hotel room carpet was stained, there was dust in some places and the furniture and room amenities are aging, slightly dated and need to be improved (I didn't feel the need to zoom in on those issues so the pictures wont reflect this) . I loved that there were lovely art pieces throughtout the hotel and the fitness centre was top notch especially the heated pool. The breakfast buffet had fewer options than expected for a hotel of that standard but it was honestly delicious and satisfactory, they had both Chinese and Western dishes, fruit and cereal. The waitresses from Guo restaurant had the best service they went out of their way to make our dinner pleasant. The most disconcerting issue I had with New World was that the room deposit refund took longer than I've ever experienced, I found it highly unusual and somewhat disappointing because I've stayed in a lot of 5 star hotels and usually the refund is instant but they told us it would take up to 3 days. Maybe this is standard practice for them but it made no sense to me and I've never had to wait that long. In any case surely it doesn't take 3 days to check a room!

We found this hotel to be extremely enjoyable!! Many of the staff could speak English and there was no stress to communicate what we needed. The interior and exterior are beautiful. The breakfast and dinner buffets were very tasty. Best breakfast buffet we’ve had in China so far! The only improvement would be the smell of the bedding in the room. It smelled just a bit dusty.

Good location in the center of the city, close to shopping mall and restaurants. Clean room with good price. Lots to choose for breakfast. Cathy Lin in front desk is helpful and she provided good service, it is a good choice for business trip in Dalian.

Walking distance from Shenyang Train Station. Next to a major pedestrian shopping street, Taiyuan Lu, with a supermarket. The ”Little Europe District” on Zhongshan Lu, with Western restaurants and sidewalk cafes, is walking distance. 9th floor facilities are great--gym, pool table, Western restaurant, patio dining (no wifi, though). 23rd floor partment 1-br suite was great for the price: not luxurious but clean and well-maintained, comfy bed, kitchen with basic equipment (convection stove, not gas, unfortunately), no noise, no odors. Friendly English-speaking staff. Overall a very pleasant stay. I will come again.

Good hotel. Nice, clean, and central. The bed had a plastic bit jutting out. That scratched and almost cut my leg. That's still apparent, red and tender after 4 days. Called reception. Very helpful apologetic lady came. Brought dressing for wound. Offered to charge rooms. Brought fruit. Brought engineer. They sorted the issue. Then for personal reasons, I needed to leave earlier than 5 days. The hotel refused to refund 3 days. After trip. Com intervention, offered 2 days refund. My stay was 2 nights. So, a mixed feeling review.

This was my second time stayed in this hotel . This time chosen city view room . Cleanliness is good but the car horn noises were my only negative point ! Hehe .. easily to access metro line , trains , buses or cabs from the hotel within 300m .On top of that , plenty local foods or restaurants around the area too . My 2nd attempt by walk to Zhongjie took about 40mins whereby people go shopping and foods there .

Just because the location is perfect, I stayed for three nights in total. The beautiful and handsome man at the front desk provided excellent service. There were many types of breakfast. The room was very clean. The room with street view was big enough. Sitting in front of the floor-to-ceiling window and looking at the middle street in a daze was the most enjoyable moment during the trip!

This hotel is a great place with affable and warm staff and housekeepers, who have been very helpful and kind to us during our stay. Special compliments to hotel manager who wears a red suit for her great hospitality.

Great experience; appreciate the warm hospitality from everyone, from concierge to front office, housekeeping to restaurant and lounge. Also loved the stunning bird’s eye view of Shenyang and the cozy night view in the evening!! Only one slight disappointment: the hotel doesn’t have any international sockets (albeit being an international brand - not sure if that’s the norm in China though). Plus-point was when the call centre staff took the initiative to send their concierge member to buy an adapter for me when I called them and was told that they didn’t have any adapters available in the hotel at that point in time to lend me. Really appreciated the initiative. Though the concierge member brought the wrong type of adapter (China to UK instead UK to China - thought that should be at least commonsensical for someone working in an international brand); and he was slightly unpleasant to deal with when he demanded for payment for the adaptor even though the wrong type was bought. He was also hesitant to escalate the issue to the duty manager at first until I really insisted. Duty manager resolved the issue seamlessly, took the initiative to bring one from their office and sent all the way to my room - again appreciate it. Overall, great environment and professional but warm hospitality. All other concierge members were also extremely helpful! Jacky also took initiative to send me a GPS location of the nearby police post when I needed to settle some documents there.

The standard configuration of Atour Hotel, the hotel is relatively new. The Jimu twin room I booked is large enough, fully equipped, and I like the decorative paintings inside. The open cloakroom has enough hangers, and the smart toilet is also a little surprise. The drinks in the refrigerator are free to drink. The breakfast is rich and tastes good. The hotel service staff is warm and thoughtful, and very professional. It would be more convenient if there was one more elevator. After all, it is a high-rise building with more than 30 floors, and one elevator is indeed a bit slow.

The hotel was really clean and the staff were extremely helpful. The breakfast served was good. There were only 2 small issues. People smoking in the hotel, even with signs saying no smoking. Staff didn't stop people from smoking. And secondly during the night there's a strange humming noise in the bedroom.Otherwise a really good stay and I would definitely recommend others to book their stay there.

The hotel is strategically located, very close to the train station, passenger terminal, Broken Bridge Scenic Area, and the riverside. The front desk and guest room staff are warm and friendly, and the rooms are hygienic and have good facilities. If the room card fails to open before the check-out time on the day of check-out, it will cause a lot of inconvenience. We hope to avoid it in the future.

Hotel is next to Wanda Playa Mall and location is not far awaz from all the scenic spots in Dandong. Room was a little bit old and had a smell of smoking. Found 2 long black hairs after moving in on the board next to the water heater. After complaining they sent someone to check the room again. Rain shower was not working well. Breakfast is 90% chinese with some western style things in a medium quality. Overall ok for a short stay in Dandong.

New hotel with good location, just a few minutes walk from Yalu River Scenic Area. The room is big, the facilities are new, Xiaozhi butler, the TV is big, the hygiene is good, the service is warm and thoughtful, the smart toilet is equipped with a disposable toilet cover, it is very warm. The breakfast is rich in variety and the restaurant service staff are very friendly. It is very convenient to see the night view of the Yalu River. It is recommended to stay!

The hotel has been renovated for 24 years and is very new! The windows are oversized, the light is good, and the house is bright and spacious! Fully equipped, there is a small refrigerator, very friendly for summer travel. It is very close to the Yalu River Broken Bridge and the China-North Korea Friendship Bridge. It is very convenient to travel with the elderly. You can go to the riverside to walk after dinner at night and enjoy the night view! It is very convenient to go to other attractions and train stations around, and it is easy to take a taxi downstairs!

The boss is very nice. When the itinerary changed, the boss readily agreed to refund one day's room fee. He enthusiastically introduced the route driver for eating and sightseeing. The most important thing is that the recommended restaurant is super affordable. He also specifically told us many times not to buy things randomly and not to be cheated. The inn is in an excellent location, very close to the Broken Bridge. You can see the rippling Yalu River in the room. Crossing the road is the riverside, which is very suitable for children at home who don't want to walk a step more. The children like the tatami room very much. The floor heating is very warm, and there is no need to worry that the children will roll off the bed. Just roll away. The child said that he would stay in this room next time. A very satisfying trip.

Very satisfied. The river view room on the 24th floor has good lighting and the decoration inside the room is neat and elegant. When I returned to the room at night and looked out over the river, I could see the bright lights of Moon Island and the twinkling lights of Sinuiju, North Korea. The two front desk staff were professional and good-natured, Cheng Xiao and Wang Meiyuan.

The view from the room is good, you can see the Moon Island, and the free 30th floor bathing ticket can overlook North Korea across the river. The breakfast is rich in variety and of commendable quality.

The room was so warm that you had to open the window. Each bed had two pillows and a cushion. The bed was very comfortable. The location was super good. The front desk lady changed me to a river view room. The Broken Bridge of the Yalu River was on the left outside the window, and Sinuiju, North Korea, was across. There was a small square downstairs, and there were many Korean barbecues and Korean restaurants nearby. The breakfast was very rich, with many Chinese and Western dishes, and the spicy cabbage was especially delicious. The front desk lady was proactive and enthusiastic, and the parking guy was also very kind.

It's very close to the Broken Bridge, and the service attitude is very good. He took the initiative to help me carry my luggage and introduced me to my travel plan for the next day. It was hot and he even gave me two bottles of water, so I didn't have to go downstairs to buy it.
