This guesthouse is located in the old town of Chefchaouen, Morocco's 'Blue City'. The owner is Chinese, and the decor matches the city's blue aesthetic. Because it's in the old town, the rooms are quite small and the facilities are basic. Occasionally, there's a sewage smell. The guesthouse's terrace is beautiful, and breakfast is served there. They offer both Chinese-style and local breakfast options, though the taste is just so-so. When we visited, the owner wasn't around, and a young Chinese man was managing the place. I have to say, this guy was incredibly dedicated to his work, but he wasn't very warm or generous with guests. For breakfast, there was basically just one bowl of congee and soy milk per person, and leftover steamed buns from the previous day were served again the next morning. Perhaps resources are scarce locally. In any case, I booked based on online reviews, but it didn't quite live up to expectations.

Quite a good stay. The hotel is very clean and the room is quite comfortable.
The pillow and bed are average but the sofa and desk are useful/likewise the fridge
The internet is average - it is slow during busy periods which is unacceptable in 2026
Staff are moderately helpful but don't always fix issues
The location isn't great but is easy to access downtown with public transport (no 20 bus)

The hotel is in the middle of the old city, very close to the square, 5 minutes walk from the car park. The hotel is clean and the staff is very nice. Breakfast is on the top floor terrace. The view and angle of the sunset on the terrace are very good!

The staff is incredibly friendly and made my stay as easy as possible.
The rooms with mountain views can be a bit noisy as the road passes right below.
The rooms with sea views are much quieter.
The breakfast was varied and delicious.
The beds were comfortable and the rooms were spacious.
I would definitely return.

Booked hotel casa miguel , arrived there but we were sent to another hotel Anexo, went there with bags of 15 minutes, the room was different, not that in the photo, it smelled very urgently, But this problem in all the hotels that are in Riads and it was still cold, although the air conditioner worked all night but he didn't heat the room, more in such hotels I won't stop, but the girls who work there were very friendly and polite Karima and Amina seems, they tried to smooth everything! The breakfast was the most common on the terrace. I think the price and quality are not in line!

The hotel has great rooms and the location is perfect for wandering the city, which explains why many Spanish and French tour groups and airline staff book the accommodation. Unfortunately, Kenzi Solazur is currently under renovation and all the facilities aren’t available (swimming pool, spa, gym are all closed). The service is average to below average but if you get a room at a good price it’s actually a good deal. Note that during winter and spring, air conditioning is disabled and you’ll have to open windows. I arrived late March and my first night was really stuffy without AC but realized it really is cooler in the evening. Unfortunately, opening the windows means you are subject to outside noise - including the broadcasted Islam prayer.
