Great
Ddanielso2010Pros:
1. The hotel's location right by the Inner Harbour is convenient for visiting several nearby attractions.
2. The front desk staff were very enthusiastic and gave us detailed information about the hotel's entertainment and dining facilities, as well as local sights. Knowing we were driving, they also informed us about parking (even though there's a charge).
3. The beds were comfortable.
Cons:
1. Due to the hotel's age, the bathroom only has a bathtub, no separate shower. They've installed two glass panels to act as a splash guard, but there's a large gap between them, which means shower water still wets the entire bathroom floor.
2. The windows in the rooms facing the street aren't double-glazed, so the noise from passing vehicles at night is very loud.
At over 4000 a night, the value for money is extremely low.
GGuest UserNice hotel, location is decent if you have a car. Not particularly walkable.
Free shuttle service was pretty brutal, waited 30 minutes but no one showed up, so I had to use an Uber and they paid me back in cash. Disappointed with the experience I had with the front desk and the manager regarding this interaction.
KKUAN TONGOur family stayed at the night on the last day of Labour Day long weekend, so we felt less busy. It’s a good stay for going to Botanical Beach at Port Renfrew. The Ella beach nearby is awesome for sunset. The room is spacious for four of us. We are happy to see lots tiny fishes and 6 seals playing in the hotel private harbour. We did not use the hotel pool coz it looks not so clean. However we enjoyed the complimentary 1 hr tandem kayak very much. See lots wild lives.
GGuest UserConveniently located a few steps away from the Whistler Gondola. Rent your ski gear from the Can Ski store located at the ground floor and you can easily drop off/pick up your skis at their valet.
Our suite has a kitchenette and dining table so it was easy to eat breakfast in our room before heading off to ski. There is a grocery store a 5 min walk away.
The fireplace in our suite was nice and we used it quite often. The hot water in the shower was almost instantly available which we appreciated. The hotel is a little dated but has everything we need. I highly recommend the Japanese restaurant, Ka Ze, located at the hotel. Reservations recommended.
AAnonymous UserOak Bay Beach Hotel is an excellent place to stay. The hotel is very clean and well maintained, which made the experience comfortable and relaxing. The staff are friendly, professional, and always willing to help, making us feel genuinely welcomed throughout our stay. Overall, the high standard of hygiene and the great service really stood out.
DDouble O mamaWe wrapped up spring break with a super chill three-day, two-night stay at the Four Seasons Resort Whistler, and it was exactly what our family of four needed.
The rooms were awesome—super comfy, stylish, and spotlessly clean. The view of the mountains? Absolutely stunning. It made lounging around way more enjoyable.
The outdoor heated pool and hot tubs were a hit with all of us, and the kids especially loved the marshmallow roasting session held daily from 4–6 pm. It was such a fun and cozy family activity! The ping-pong facilities were also a big favorite, though they seemed to be in high demand.
Breakfast was a highlight, too—the buffet had an amazing variety of options, and we were pleasantly surprised to find BC caviar as part of the offerings that day. A unique and delicious treat!
The only downside was the playroom—it’s a bit small, especially during busy times like spring break or summer. It felt a little limited for all the kids hoping to use it.
That said, the staff nailed it. They were super friendly and helpful, adding little touches to make our stay extra special.
Four Seasons Whistler definitely delivered. We left feeling recharged and already talking about when we can come back!
GGuest UserHotel is in a great place, two minutes walk into the centre of Whistler. Only used the bar a couple of times and didn’t eat there at all so can’t comment on the food. Used the pool once which was very nice, clean with plenty of sun beds.
Room was a good size, the bathroom was good, did notice the inside of the bottom of the bathroom door looked like it needed a bit of attention and there was a 3” bit of plaster (?) coming off the wall at the bottom of the wall behind the door.
Plenty of wardrobe space and drawers. Handy fridge. The bottles of water that were left were handy.
I find that most hotel rooms are quite dingy, not enough lights, why don’t they have a ceiling light?
My only complaints would be that the bed wasn’t comfortable, woke with an aching back every morning, think a new mattress is needed, had a bit of ‘roll together’ also the blackout curtains are handy but they didn’t fit the window, a bit short so the light came in under the curtains, the voiles were longer than the actual curtains.
That said we would definitely stay here again if we went back to Whistler.
LLAdukailiGreat location, just a 9-minute walk from Canada Place where the cruise ships dock. The north-facing rooms offer a peek of the ocean, while other directions have city views.
The hotel is right above Burrard Station on the Expo Line, making it super convenient to get anywhere, especially the airport, with no traffic! Absolutely unbeatable!👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
The hotel decor is a bit dated, but it's quite comfortable. The bedding felt like Egyptian cotton, silky and smooth!
The gym, outdoor sauna, and outdoor heated pool are on the 4th floor, all with city views. It was a good experience!👍🏻
GGuest UserTop notch service. Corner suite on the 6th floor had a killer view of the harbor and parliament building. Walking distance from restaurant and the BC museum. Really appreciated having a sitting space separate from the bedroom.
Everything was very nice but room not newly remodeled. Nonetheless, looking forward to an opportunity to stay there again.
Major flaw was the pool, sauna area was part of an attached gym. Not the spa experience I had hoped for.
JJEndangWe stayed here for 5 nights. They are in a great, if not the best, location in Vancouver. Next to Waterfront station where they have skytrain, seabus, buses and train. Also literally at Canada Place where they have free shuttle to Grouse Mountain and Capilano bridge. You can see the cruise, seaplane and helicopter from your room too. Minutes of walk to Gastown to see the stream clock.
Best thing is, when you buy a fridge magnet of Vancouver, the hotel is part of the iconic building.
Staffs are really friendly too, our room is always clean.
If I have a complain, I'm just not very used to housekeeper's trolleys being 24/7 on appearance at the corridor of a 5-star hotel.
Other than that, it's a near perfect stay. Loving the view from our room too.
