We stayed at this hotel from August 12–17, 2026. It was the best hotel of our entire trip. 1. Location: The hotel is a 30‑minute walk from West Street. However, from 3:30 PM to 11:30 PM, a free shuttle bus runs between the hotel and West Street in both directions – very convenient! The area around the hotel isn't very touristy – there aren't many cafés or shops nearby, so for everything we had to go to West Street. 2. Hotel grounds: The crown jewel of the hotel is certainly its huge swimming pool surrounded by mountains. We had an absolutely unforgettable time swimming in the pool with that view. Unlike most Chinese hotels, the pool is deep (up to 1.7 m) and very large – even with many guests around, nobody got in anyone's way, and we could swim freely. A small downside is that there aren't many chairs or benches around the pool to put your things on, but we always found a spot. Besides the pool, the grounds include a lake (unfortunately the fountains weren't working), a tennis court, and a small walking area with swings. As a suggestion to the hotel: we missed evening lighting. It would be wonderful if the trees, the lake, or the mountains were illuminated, so that after sunset we could take an evening stroll. 3. Service: Deserves the highest praise! The day before our arrival, the manager contacted me on WeChat. When booking the room, I had left a request for a quiet room with a nice view. Since we had a room for three people, all such rooms faced the street and had no balcony. The manager took my request into account and gave us a free upgrade to a room with a balcony (with a stunning mountain view) and added a third bed. The manager, Xiuxiu, is absolutely incredible – she made our stay truly comfortable and took care of us throughout our entire visit. First, she spoke excellent English. Second, she was always available on WeChat and answered all our questions. Third, when we were checking out, my mum left her pendant in the pocket of the bathrobe and was very upset. I wrote to the hotel on WeChat asking them to look for it. Not only was the pendant found, but they also arranged express delivery to my Chinese friend on the very same day. That is professionalism at its best – thank you! Other requests during our stay were also handled promptly, such as changing the bathrobes to ones we preferred or bringing a third set of tableware. We also bought tickets for the Impression Liu Sanjie show at the reception. It was very convenient and cheaper than buying through the show's official WeChat account. The hotel offers many amenities: water, juice, and candies in the lobby, plenty of lounge areas, a shop, a free laundry room, and a gym. Breakfast at the hotel was very convenient. For European tastes, it wasn't extremely varied, but there was enough to choose from. It would be great if the café remained open during the day as well (for an extra charge). 4. Room: As I mentioned, we were upgraded to a room with a balcony. It was very quiet and the view was breathtaking. The room itself was large, with big, comfortable beds. There was a split‑system air conditioner (not a standard wall unit), but it was surprisingly tricky to adjust despite its seemingly simple controls – sometimes it would cool the room too much, and sometimes even when set to 23°C, the temperature would keep rising to 26°C, and so on. A slight inconvenience: the shower is right in the room (as in many Chinese hotels), and there's nowhere to hang a towel without it getting wet. But this wasn't a major issue. The room was cleaned daily: fresh water, tea bags, various kinds of coffee, towel changes, floor mopping! Upon check‑in, we were also greeted with a welcome fruit platter and even some instant noodles (which came in very handy after our journey). The room had a refrigerator and even a dish steriliser. It was quiet inside – we couldn't hear the neighbours, and there was no smell of cigarette smoke.

Hotel service is above and beyond, so much to the point where they will pluck the passion fruit straight from their backyard for you! (true story). This was such an amazing stay with the most exceptional hotel service from the staff. You're pulled into a groupchat with all the different staff and someone will answer any question or request at any time. They even helped us call a car back to the hotel when we were stranded at ruyi peak for 20 min. We picked this hotel mainly for the views and the videos we saw online of the viral hotel, but were blown away by the concierge, amenities, views, and services provided to us during our stay. Truly made us feel like royalty! Also, very foreigner friendly, staff all had translator devices for those who couldn't speak Chinese which I would appreciate if I was also a foreigner. This hotel is nestled within the grounds of the Ronghu Hotel, boasting a fantastic environment. There's a small gate nearby that leads to Ronghu Park, offering beautiful scenery without the crowds. The hotel itself is stunning and distinctive. The lobby features what appear to be genuine antique furniture pieces. The vintage lamps, metal rotary phone, velvet sofa and curtains, and even the room doors all exude a strong Republic of China era ambiance – opulent and luxurious. Indeed, it does show some signs of age; it's not going to have smart controls for lights and curtains like a newly opened hotel. The wooden door isn't as smooth, some floorboards are slightly warped, and the gap between the shower and bathtub isn't perfectly cleanable. However, I still believe this hotel is worth staying at, which is why I extended my stay after the first night. The front desk staff were warm and friendly, helping me upgrade to a suite. When I couldn't find the laundry room, they personally showed me the way. You can also add them on WeChat for any inquiries. The hotel has a limited number of rooms, so breakfast isn't exceptionally lavish, but with various porridges, pastries, vegetables, fruits, freshly ground coffee, milk, yogurt, soy milk, juice, bacon, sausages, small pastries, and freshly cooked rice noodles, it's actually more than enough. This breakfast restaurant also serves as an afternoon tea spot, with balcony seating offering direct views of Ronghu Lake. There's also another coffee shop with a great atmosphere, attracting many young women for photo opportunities.

Overall, we really enjoyed our stay! The hotel offers excellent value for money, and the location is absolutely beautiful, surrounded by mountains with stunning views from the window. It’s about a 7-minute drive from the main street, so it’s easy to get around while still enjoying the peaceful surroundings. The room was spacious and comfortable, with a separate walk-in wardrobe, which was a nice bonus. The main downside was the cleaning. The floors were a little dirty, and there was some dust in places. We also noticed that small pieces of rubbish were sometimes left behind even after the room had been cleaned. However, the bed linen and towels were clean, and the shower and toilet were also clean. The hotel itself could also benefit from some renovation, as certain areas and furnishings feel a little dated. With some updates and improvements to the cleaning, this place could be absolutely amazing! The breakfast selection was a little limited, but there was still enough to choose from, and everything was fresh and tasty. The hotel also has a laundry room where you can wash your clothes, which is very convenient, especially when travelling. Another lovely bonus was the complimentary photo session in traditional Chinese clothing, which included 5 digital photos. It was such a fun and unique experience that made our stay even more special! Overall, we were very happy with our stay. Considering the price, the beautiful mountain setting, the spacious room, and the extra experiences included, we think the hotel offers great value for money. With a little renovation and more attention to housekeeping, it could be an outstanding place to stay!

Staying at the Xi Shi Jin She Hotel was an incredibly healing experience amidst the beautiful landscapes of Yangshuo. The hotel is located right by the Yulong River, and with the panoramic floor-to-ceiling windows, you're greeted by stunning karst peaks, with bamboo rafts slowly gliding by on the river – it feels like living inside a traditional Chinese ink painting. The room was clean and tidy, the toiletries were of excellent quality, and the facilities were exquisite and comprehensive. The butler service was attentive and thoughtful, and the authentic Guilin rice noodles for breakfast were fresh and delicious. The rooftop infinity pool offered amazing photo opportunities. It's also super convenient for visiting the Ten-Mile Gallery. This is definitely my top choice for a stay in Yangshuo, a perfect experience!

For my last stop in Guilin, I booked this hotel, initially just planning to stay one night. I never expected that the biggest surprise of my 7-day trip would come from this place! Built right by the river, I got to experience fishing by the Li River, even seeing cormorants up close. Sitting in the hotel lobby, it truly felt like being inside a painting, and the whole world seemed to quiet down. I loved it, such a pleasant surprise. Plus, the front desk staff were all very friendly and helpful. Really great.

Finally, I got to stay in my dream river-view room in Yangshuo! 🏨 This 270° river-view room with a balcony bathtub is picture-perfect; every shot looks like a masterpiece, offering exclusive romantic views of the Li River. The location is a huge plus, making getting around super easy! It's a 5-minute walk to Guanlian Pier and just 10 minutes to Yangshuo West Street. It's also convenient to rent electric scooters nearby, and for those driving, there's a free parking lot and charging stations. The massive balcony directly faces the Li River, offering panoramic views of the mountains and water, creating an instant luxurious ambiance. The hotel boasts a popular infinity pool and a 'Sky Mirror' that's great for photos, plus a fully equipped gym and a children's play area, making it suitable for both couples and families. The breakfast and dinner experience was excellent. There's a rich selection of both Chinese and Western breakfast options, and upon check-in, we received a complimentary exquisite double welcome afternoon tea, which was both beautiful and delicious. 📍 Shixi Tianyue Riverview Hotel (Yangshuo West Street Li River Branch)

I was very satisfied with the architecture and tranquility of The Sugar House. It's a shame that it was too hot during my recent visit, so I couldn't spend much time exploring outdoors. The architecture and scenery here are so skillfully integrated that there's no spot you wouldn't want to stop and admire. Additionally, this hotel offers Black Diamond privileges, which included vouchers and some small gifts – a delightful surprise for my first experience. The room was very clean and tidy, with comfortable bedding and excellent blackout curtains, allowing for a very peaceful sleep. The outdoor view was also beautiful; lounging or working on the balcony was quite relaxing. The hotel offers many activities, so even if you don't leave the hotel during the National Day holiday, there's plenty to participate in. Unfortunately, due to my itinerary, I only got to experience the basket swing activity once. Dinner at the restaurant was slightly more expensive than outside, but the taste was decent. Western cuisine seemed to be a slightly better choice than Chinese. Breakfast had limited options, a combination of à la carte and buffet, and the taste was just okay, not particularly delicious. You can ask for dry mix rice noodles, as the default comes with soup, but I found the dry mix to be tastier. I highly recommend the travel photography session. The photographer here previously worked for Earl Travel Photography, so their skills are excellent. The shooting process was very relaxed, and I was happy with the finished photos. Some suggestions for improvement: the service staff seemed less professional. The restaurant staff stuttered when asked about dishes and mostly had expressionless faces. Some of them were interns. Also, the door leading to the balcony from the restaurant had no resistance and slammed shut if you let go, which was quite disruptive during meals. Furthermore, the body lotion in the toiletries was incredibly difficult to squeeze out; it took forever to get any out to use as a body lotion. I might come back again when it's cooler. Overall, it was a good experience, and this was the best hotel experience I had in Yangshuo this time.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ My stay at the Na Lian Fei Shi Select Hotel in Nanning was excellent overall. The hotel is conveniently located in the Longguang Century Building, within the ASEAN Business District, making it easy to get around and dine out. The room was very clean, and the bedding was comfortable, leading to a great rest experience. The panoramic floor-to-ceiling windows offered expansive views, making it very relaxing to gaze at the city scenery during leisure time. The front desk staff were polite, and the check-in process was smooth. The hotel amenities are comprehensive, with a swimming pool and gym located on the 77th floor, perfect for exercise and relaxation during downtime. The breakfast offered a wide variety of choices, with a decent taste. The facilities were well-maintained, quiet, and not noisy. It's suitable for both business trips and short getaways, offering good value for money. I would definitely consider staying here again on my next visit to Nanning.

We had a wonderful and memorable stay at Chongzuo Dreamy Hill Resort. The resort is surrounded by breathtaking natural scenery, with beautiful views of lush green trees, farms, and mountains. The peaceful atmosphere and the connection with nature made the stay feel like a real escape from the city. We stayed in the Yunju Mountain View Cloud Private Pool One-Bedroom Detached Villa with Private Pool and Washing Machine, and we were very happy with our choice. The villa was spacious, comfortable, and offered plenty of privacy. Having our own private pool and enjoying the surrounding views from the villa made the experience even more special. It was a great place to relax and simply enjoy the peaceful environment. We also really enjoyed the activities offered by the resort. There are enough things to do around the property to comfortably spend a full day without getting bored. The combination of nature, activities, beautiful scenery, and relaxation makes the resort a destination in itself rather than just a place to stay. One thing to keep in mind is the weather. During our visit, the weather was quite hot, which made some of the outdoor activities less comfortable, especially during the daytime. Based on our experience, I would recommend visiting the resort during spring, when the weather should be more pleasant for enjoying the outdoor activities, scenery, and nature. For Muslim travelers, halal food is not common in the resort. However, the staff were very kind and made a genuine effort to accommodate us. They prepared dishes that we were able to eat and tried their best to understand our dietary requirements, which we really appreciated. Another consideration is the location of some of the attractions and activities outside the resort. Some places require around 40 minutes of travel, while others can take up to 1.5 hours, depending on the destination and road conditions. It is therefore better to plan your trips in advance and allow enough travel time. Overall, the resort is ideal for people who appreciate nature, beautiful scenery, privacy, and a peaceful atmosphere. The views are definitely one of the biggest highlights, and the private villa made our stay even more enjoyable. The staff were friendly and helpful, and despite a few logistical challenges, we had a great experience. If you are visiting Chongzuo and want to experience something different from a typical city hotel, Chongzuo Dreamy Hill Resort is definitely worth considering. I would especially recommend visiting in spring to make the most of the beautiful surroundings and outdoor activities. We would happily stay here again.
