5-Star Hotels in Guizhou, China

Wonderful hotel right in the center of Zhaoxing with an amazing view on the entire village and the surroundings. The hotel seems newly renovated, everything was beautiful and clean. Unfortunately, because of the heavy rains in the days preceding our stay, the water in the swimming pool caught some algae and they had to take it out, clean the pool, and refill it again, which is why we couldn't make use of it during our stay (we only stayed for two days). That was a bit unfortunate as the entire swimmingpool area is incredibly beautiful and with the summer heat it would have been nice to do a swim after the hikes. But all the rest was absolutely wonderful. We actually stayed there on the day of my birthday and the hotel organized a wonderful birthday cake for me and even decorated the room. It was amazing and I would like to thank the staff again for their kindness. Our arrangement included the afternoon tea and the breakfast, both of them delicious and generous. Breakfast included the typical Chinese soups, rice, etc. while also offering Western style bread, marmelade, butter and lots of fruits. What merits a special mention is the outdoor bath tub directly on the balcony. Every evening they prepared the bath tub with special bathing oils and taking a bath right before going to sleep on our outdoor terrace was a sheer delight! We will remember it as a very special place, with incredibly nice and kind people. Thank you for having made this stay so special for us!

The hotel is conveniently located very close to Jiaxiu Tower. Downstairs, there's a fantastic array of local snacks and street food, including Nanmen Changwang Noodles, Sour Soup Fish, and Luoguo, making it incredibly easy to find a meal. Both Qianling Mountain and Yangming Ancestral Temple are just a short taxi ride away. I had originally made two separate bookings, and the front desk staff kindly upgraded me to a room on the 50th floor. Later, despite high occupancy, they went above and beyond to secure an extension for an extra night and even provided complimentary executive lounge afternoon tea vouchers. The hotel's breakfast spread was extensive, the facilities were modern and well-maintained, and the service was impeccable. My deposit was refunded immediately after check-out. Overall, a fantastic stay!

The hotel's location is truly exceptional. We could quickly reach numerous popular spots like Jiaxiu Tower and Qingyun Night Market either on foot or by taxi, which made it incredibly easy to dive into an authentic Guiyang culinary adventure. What was especially thoughtful was that all the rooms arranged for us were Jiaxiu Tower view rooms. Whether it was the ancient charm during the day or the dazzling lights at night, these views became the most beautiful backdrop of our trip. What truly touched us was our encounter with Rabby and Stellar at check-out. Not only did they kindly ask about our stay over the past few days and attentively listen to our feedback, but they also surprised us with gifts – cute puzzle toys for the kids, and even exquisite Guizhou-style embroidered coasters for us adults. This level of thoughtfulness made our departure feel warm and special.

My experience at Shiboge Grand View Hotel at Xiaoqikong was truly wonderful. 1. Excellent location: The hotel is right next to the Xiaoqikong Scenic Area, with a dedicated entrance for in-house guests within walking distance. Alternatively, you can take the hotel shuttle to the scenic area's east gate, which is a very thoughtful touch. 2. The hotel's amenities are in line with its brand positioning. All rooms have a large hot tub, making it incredibly relaxing to return to after a tiring day. The smart toilets are also highly recommended. 3. The bedding was incredibly comfortable, and the mountain's quietness at night made for a truly relaxing sleep. 4. The breakfast was also a delight. In addition to the usual dishes, they also included Guizhou specialties like glutinous rice and potato cakes, making it feel like you could have lunch with them. 5. The staff throughout my stay were extremely polite, and upon check-out, they even gave me a custom gift, which was a pleasant surprise. The hotel also partners with a travel photography agency, and booking a reservation will provide three free retouched photos featuring a variety of ethnic costumes. All in all, it can be said to be the ”ceiling” of accommodation in Xiaoqikong Scenic Area, recommended!

Super good!! The butler service is very comprehensive, and every staff member I met is very considerate. Before departure, you can communicate with the butler on WeChat. We landed at 8:30 pm, and there are airport pick-up and drop-off services. The butler Myles is very considerate because my boyfriend sprained his leg while playing basketball and had difficulty walking. Myles brought a wheelchair to pick him up at the airport, which is great! ! When we checked in at the hotel, we were given hot towels and tea. Because we had to go out for a midnight snack at night, Myles also recommended a store to us and asked us if we needed to queue up. It was great! The next morning, because my boyfriend had difficulty walking, I asked the butler to send breakfast to the room. It was fresh fruit and bread, which was relatively simple. We had dinner at the hotel in the evening. The layout was very romantic and the taste was good! There is also an art tour of the hotel. I have to say that after listening to it, I realized that there are so many small ideas in design. The butler who introduced us was Nono, who was very sweet and introduced it very well! The hotel bar is full of atmosphere and we had a lot of drinks. We also gave us snacks, which were fried potato chips. They were a bit spicy, but we couldn't eat anything too spicy. Next to it is Ayunduo Warehouse, which has many cultural and creative products, coffee shops, and food. It is very suitable for walking, very trendy, and the design is also very beautiful. We booked afternoon tea on the third day, and the desserts were delicious and not too sweet. Because it was a night flight, we specially delayed the room until 4 o'clock. It was the first time for us to delay the room until 4 o'clock when we stayed in a hotel. When we left, the housekeeper came to help us take the luggage and put it in the car. Spacious and comfortable, the room was very large, clean, and hygienic. Every day around noon, an auntie would come in to clean, replace disposables, and empty the trash, keeping everything spotless. If someone was in the room, she would wait and come back later. The transportation is convenient; a taxi from Guiyang Station to the hotel only takes a few minutes and costs around ten yuan. Going to places like Qingyun Market by taxi is about the same, and Qingyun Market is great for browsing! The most important thing is that the front desk staff and the aunties were all very nice. Any requests were quickly responded to.

We picked Wu Wei hotel after reading the positive reviews online and we’re so glad to have spent 2 nights here exploring XiJiang Miao Village. Hotel is super organised and butler xiao qi (管家小飞）contacted us the day before arrival to organise our stay. There’s two options for getting into the scenic area 1. Scenic bus which is covered by the entry ticket but takes 30-40 mins to get to the hotel via scenic route and you will need to line up/wait for other passengers. 2. We took the VIP route which is 50 rmb per person and takes us direct to the hotel (10 mins) which is located right next to the main viewing platform. 小七organised transportation from the main gate and picked us up/carried our suitcases (both on arrival and departure) He is just the sweetest! Hotel is new as it’s only built last year and is designed for the aesthetic eye. We booked the 270 degree room with a terrace and I highly recommend this option as it’s the only room in the hotel that has balcony views. It’s seriously an amazing sight and waking up to this every morning is incredible! Both breakfast and afternoon tea were also fabulous! Highly highly recommend - 5 stars all the way 🙂

The location is excellent, in the heart of the city; there are plenty of parking spaces, so driving is worry-free; the breakfast has a rich variety; I was worried that the equipment and facilities would be old, but the actual experience shows that the hotel has spent some effort on maintenance, and it is clean and comfortable; finally, let me talk about the service. The day of check-in happened to be a family member's birthday, and the young lady who checked me in was very attentive, and immediately sent blessings and small surprises. The glasses brother in the hotel's Chinese restaurant also gave me a very warm reception, which left a brilliant impression and memory for me and my family.

Manager Chen at the front desk was really good. He took the initiative to provide us with travel guides around the area, and gave us a lot of practical travel tips. He also introduced us to delicious and fun places in detail. Although the hotel is a bit old, the hygiene is still good. The view in the room is really amazing, and the facilities are complete. In particular, the bed is very soft and comfortable, and the sleep quality is excellent. It feels like you are sinking into it. It's just that there are a lot of people on holidays, and you have to queue for breakfast.

I took my grandma out for a bit of sightseeing. She's quite old and can't walk for too long, so we booked a suite at the Guizhou Hotel for her to rest in between. Since we weren't staying overnight, I thought the complimentary breakfast would be a waste. So, I cheekily asked the front desk if we could swap the breakfast for dinner instead. Honestly, I didn't have high hopes, but to my surprise, the staff at the front desk were incredibly helpful! They really went out of their way to help us get approval to exchange it for a buffet dinner. A huge thank you to Wanwan, Xiao Qu, Yanjie, Jinxin, and Xiaolong. Because of you, my grandma had such a delightful experience. She said it was her first time having a buffet in over 90 years, and she found it really interesting (usually when we go out to eat, it's in a private room at a hotel with a big round table, so we overlooked that she'd never experienced a buffet before. This was a completely new experience for her, and she enjoyed walking around and looking at everything). She's usually not keen on going out, but this time she thought the hotel was a lot of fun, and we're so happy she enjoyed the experience. We'll definitely bring her back again next time.
