First off, I want to say that the housekeeping department was wonderful. They were not only great cleaners but they were also very thoughtful about checking when we would be out of the room during the day if they happened to show up when we were there. A few other things that were great about the hotel: the spectacular location (it's near so many great restaurants in a very walkable area), the big empty swimming pool with a view of the city, the generosity with face masks, and all staff seemed well trained in hospitality... So it breaks my heart that our arrival at the hotel so completely marred our stay. When my kids and I walked into the hotel one of the staff--I'm afraid I didn't catch her name in my shock, but I believe she was the manager on duty--grabbed a handful of gloves and handed them to us as we were still struggling to pull out all the green codes required of us (we were told to show two codes initially and then later would go through many more codes in a quest to see which would be accepted). She started the conversation by asking if we were leaving and when we said we were checking in, she asked to see the tracing app and immediately declared all the places we had been to as dangerous (the app was green and there were no asterisks at that point, I would later gain an asterisk thanks to being in Wuhan). They were not. We had travelled carefully, tracking the news of outbreaks and did our best to avoid all dangerous locations and crowds. We explained this to her and walked her through every place on our trip that we had been, but she refused to accept any of this. She kept insisting everywhere we had been was dangerous. It didn't matter to her how many green codes we had. We were foreigners that had come to Wuhan from a city in Jiangsu, taking a route that travelled near provinces where there were COVID-19 cases, and that meant we were dangerous. I want to be sympathetic. People in Wuhan had a much worse 2020 than anyone else in China. I can only imagine how terrifying it must be to have another significant outbreak a year later (we further had the bad luck of arriving in Wuhan on the same day as new cases). The hotel staff gave us a free fruit plate and they gave my daughter a stuffed animal, which she adored. But I was also travelling alone with two kids who were so traumatized by the experience (they were worried that we would be taken to a hospital or quarantine center and separated for who-knows-how-long) that they initially refused to eat dinner and still talk about the experience a week later (it didn't help that they noticed a Chinese guest arrive and check in without a face mask while we were still being interrogated with gloves and masks on and waited for a doctor to come and clear us). When the kids finally did decide they would eat, so long as we didn't leave the hotel, we discovered there was no longer ocean fish or seafood on the menu because of the virus which was interesting because we would find plenty of places outside the hotel that still offered salmon. Later when we tried to go to the Thai restaurant in the ball, we were told it was not open to us because of COVID-19 restrictions even though two lovely ladies who looked shocked to see us in the elevator were welcomed in. I assume there was some small private engagement or meeting that wasn't open to the public as there was no information anywhere that said the hotel restaurant was closed to the public. So I am divided on my feelings on this hotel. I want to believe it is a well run hotel and we were just unlucky to arrive on the wrong day. I can't really see myself staying here again if I return to Wuhan. My kids and I didn't really feel welcome here.

Staff were outstanding. Rooms excellent. Only complaint is that there is nowhere to sit and wait in the lobby.
Silu Tiansi Hotel

Tianhe Airport/Panlong City/Outlet
It was my first time to stay in this hotel on a business trip. The reviews of this hotel online were very good. After checking in, it was just as I expected. The lady at the front desk did a good job and was very meticulous. Xiong Zhou Xiaohua at the front desk was very enthusiastic. He helped me print out a lot of materials I need for my work for free, thank you very much! As for the room, the room type and design are very good. The room is also very clean and bright, and the room is quite large. It is worth staying.

Wuhan Railway Station/Qingshan Industrial Zone
The sister at the front desk was very enthusiastic. She gave me hot ginger tea when I entered the door. She helped me put on a protective cover for my ID card. She also upgraded the room for free. The room is very big. I like the independent audio system very much. The quilt is very big and presses against the mattress to prevent it from being kicked. There is quite a lot of breakfast. Aunt Tian in the guest room also thoughtfully gave me a makeup mirror. The staff at this hotel are very nice, very attentive and considerate of customers. I will come back next time I have the opportunity to come to Wuhan. (It would be better if there was a place to dry bath towels in the bathroom)
Intercontinental Wuhan
4.7/51422 Reviews
Wuhan International Expo Center
Located at the front of the Wuhan expo center are the intercontinental and Holiday Inn hotels. A good location for a river view and relaxing weekend. I chose the intercontinental, as our experiences at the Shanghai Wonderland and Chongqing Raffles intercontinental had been fantastic. So I booked this for our anniversary with high expectations. The hotel is grand and the rooms are lovely. The lobby cafe where breakfast is served is huge with a venetian style interior and roof. The hotel restaurant serves Cantonese style food and is worth a visit. A few photos attached. The service at the restaurant was sub par, and the bill was wrong, which we got the pleasure of finding out when the restaurant began to ring our room repeatedly around 10pm to ask me to go back and pay 30Yuan extra. Which wasn't a problem, but after 4/5 calls late at night to be told I'd walked out without paying down the phone was disappointing when I paid the bill I had been presented with. On our a trip we were quite disappointed to find out on arrival that the swimming area was completely closed, as this would have been useful information before booking. Our trip to Wuhan was great, but the service at this intercontinental didn't live up to their colleagues and previous experiences.
Wanda Realm Wuhan

Chuhehan Street/East Lake/Hubei Provincial Museum
This was my perfect trip. My daughter wanted a luxury hotel experience as her birthday gift and Wanda Realm made it happen without the high cost😃. The price was right, the atmosphere was superb and the service made me feel like a special guest. The room was luxurious and clean and they seemed to have considered everything in the design of the place. Separate areas for toilet, shower and face basin, telephone in the bathroom for emergency, a retractable clothesline in the bathroom, and conveniently placed shower gels, shampoos and lotions. The food at Zhen restaurant was delectable. Buffet style breakfast, lunch and dinner. Reasonably priced too. Eg 128 for buffet lunch. There were snacks, drinks and wine/liquor in the room that had price tags on them, so I didn't eat much because I thought they'd charge it to my room, but upon checking out, I enquired and they said there were no extra charges for that. The swimming pool was lovely and the sauna and steam rooms made it worth visiting the health club. I'll definitely go back! Oh, how could I forget the cooking class the chef gave to the kids at lunch time! We took home cookies baked by them 😃

I stayed during the National Day holiday. Before I went there, I read online reviews that some guests reported that the hotel facilities were old, dusty, and mosquito-infested. I hesitated at the time, but after checking in, I was no longer worried. The location is excellent: it is just above CapitaLand Plaza. There are various teas and coffees in the square such as Chayanyuese, Grandpa's Not Making Tea, etc. There is also an AEON supermarket, which is very convenient. The entrance to the subway station is right at the door, and there is also a bus stop where it is convenient to take a taxi. Hema can also deliver. We booked a total of 3 rooms, each with different room types. Room 1019 is slightly larger, with a separate laundry room and a clothes rack. The hotel is designed with two bedrooms, two living rooms and two bathrooms, and the master bedroom has a separate bathroom. The other room is a hall sandwiched between two bedrooms, and the bathroom is in the two bedrooms. The complimentary steak meal also came with matching butter. On the second night of our stay, we were given two more portions. The hotel was so welcoming.
Jingwan Hotel

I came to the hotel with my family during May 1st and met many wedding parties. There are still parking spaces, and they are free. I like the lunch here. The price is high. As a hotel, the price is similar to outside. I hope that the business will be better in the future and continue to be cost-effective. The taste of the dish is very suitable: a brown sugar pudding, the two children felt that it was not enough after eating. The next day I went to the city and never found the same; the steamed yellow bone fish, the meat is delicate and delicious, my wife even let me eat it Check the method on the Internet; there is a chicken that forgot the name, the taste is authentic, thin and not chai; the hot and sour eel is very good for dinner~ The breakfast is more regular, the hotel has a wedding banquet, it will be collected after 9 o'clock, and the food is relatively hurried. There is a lake at the entrance of the hotel. I also rented a bicycle for sightseeing at the entrance. The bicycle is a kind of bicycle that can take a few people, but you can't ride into the sea of flowers. It is quite pleasant to enjoy the lake scenery with your family. The hotel is only a 5-minute walk from the sea of flowers. The sea of flowers is more suitable for casual play, large tracts of windmills, and it can be seen that the color layout of the windmills is very careful, and children like it very much. If you walk, the inside is large enough, it is said that there are 1500 acres, you can walk slowly to enjoy the flowers and take pictures.
Wuhan Jin Jiang International Hotel

The Mixc/Zhongshan Park
For a family trip, I chose Jinjiang this time because I have lived there before on a business trip, and I have a good impression. With children, the young lady at the front desk helped upgrade the suite with a larger space, so that our family has more room for activities. The room facilities are very complete, especially in the hot summer there is a refrigerator, which can store cold drinks and cakes, which is very convenient. The staff are very professional and enthusiastic, which is greatly appreciated. The only dissatisfaction is that the shower room is small and it is too difficult to bathe children. The flaws are not concealed. For the environment and service, I will choose Jinjiang International next time I come to Wuhan.
