The room was excellent – clean, well-maintained, and equipped with modern amenities. The vanity area was a nice touch, and the bedding was incredibly comfortable, perfect for a good night's sleep after a long day. The front desk staff were very friendly and even offered complimentary bottled water. Taxis are easily accessible nearby, and it's a short ride to various city center attractions. The breakfast was also quite good. Despite ongoing road construction on one side of the hotel, there was no noise at night.

I was torn between the Waldorf Astoria and the Xiangyang Marriott, but ultimately chose the Marriott because it's directly accessible from Exit J of Qingyuzui Station, without even having to leave the subway station. This is super convenient if the weather's bad, as it won't affect your commute at all. It was raining on the day I checked in, and I immediately noticed a leak in the ceiling of my room. I contacted the front desk, and within ten minutes, someone from housekeeping arrived. They promptly moved me to an executive floor and issued new key cards. The issue was handled very quickly. Inside the room, the fixtures and fittings were quite well-done. Although the bathroom was semi-open and the sliding door wasn't completely sealed, there was underfloor heating in the bathroom, so it wasn't cold after a shower. Food delivery was brought to the room by a robot. During peak rainy periods, there was a bit of a wait – I waited about half an hour because there were so many delivery orders in the queue. Otherwise, deliveries usually arrived within ten minutes. The room even had a special box for disposing of takeout packaging, which shows how thoughtful the management is. If you're arriving from or departing to Wuhan Station, this hotel is definitely the top choice. It's also very close to SKP and surrounded by many great restaurants. Other attractions are easily reachable by subway, with transfers taking less than half an hour.

This trip was a wonderful surprise and a truly touching experience, starting with booking the hotel. It was a warm welcome in the winter of 2026. I initially booked a hotel for that night on Ctrip, but later saw a discounted package deal. I immediately contacted customer service to modify my booking, and they listened to my request and contacted the hotel promptly to change the order. We were extremely satisfied! 👍 Furthermore, the hotel service was excellent, thoughtful, and attentive. A small note with a greeting was like a warm current dispelling the chill. In short, it was a truly unforgettable experience.

I really like this hotel, one of the best if not the best in Shiyan, the staff is really kind and helpful all rhe time, the gym and pool are really good, the food is delicious, have all kind of food in the breakfast and in buffet.

I chose Tingtao No. 2 based on reviews saying its facilities were newer. However, the front desk service at Tingtao No. 2 truly has that state-owned enterprise vibe 🥹. Before arriving at the hotel, I couldn't find a walking route from the subway station to Tingtao No. 2 on my phone's map, so I called the front desk. To my surprise, their directions were completely wrong! At the time, a mature-sounding female voice from the front desk told me to take the 'Provincial Museum exclusive passage' after getting off the subway. But after exiting the subway, I couldn't find anything labeled 'Provincial Museum exclusive passage.' I called the front desk again under the scorching sun, and this mature-sounding female voice actually argued with me. Just then, after exiting the subway, Huangli Road appeared. I asked if I should just follow this road, and described the shop names I saw along the way, including whether to turn at intersections. This mature-sounding female voice from the front desk actually said she didn't know 🤷. I asked the front desk to transfer me to someone else. A younger female voice, with a much better attitude, then told me how to get there and seemed quite familiar with the surroundings. Upon arriving at the hotel entrance, since the hotel is quite large, I saw there was an electric shuttle service. So I called the front desk to ask for a shuttle. After waiting for 3-5 minutes, no car came. I called the front desk again, and they gave me the driver's mobile number, telling me to contact the driver myself. I called the driver's phone, and then a fully loaded electric shuttle appeared in the distance, telling me that was the car. After I got on, it dropped me off at the back entrance of Tingtao No. 2 and then drove off. I had to carry my luggage up the stairs from the back entrance to reach the front desk of Tingtao No. 2 🥲. The hotel environment is excellent, the breakfast is good, and the facilities aren't old. During my stay, there were groups for conferences, training, and various activities, but it wasn't noisy. I apologize for having high expectations for the hotel, but I truly can't praise the front desk service. Perhaps the front desk at Tingtao No. 2 (especially an older female receptionist) thought my individual booking wasn't worth serving 🤣.

To be fair and impartial, I paid an extra 1,400 RMB to upgrade to a 1,500 RMB-a-night room. I'd rate it as the top end of a four-star hotel. First off, the 'reverse upgrade' really threw me. The hot water was genuinely problematic. Even an 800 RMB room can get hot water in seconds, but in this room, I was left taking a cold shower, wondering if I hadn't turned the hot water dial all the way up. The only 'upgraded' feature was the automatic flush smart toilet... If you're a regular tea drinker, you'd know the quality of their afternoon tea with just one sip. I'm saying the room lacks basic amenities. At the very least, there should be something to compensate for that, right? But what I got felt incredibly perfunctory. Thankfully, the fridge in this room worked fine. Finally, I don't know who the hotel owner is, but I can say your staff work incredibly hard. They're very professional, deserving of a five-star rating, and even better than some major brands. However, your hardware really isn't up to par. Breakfast was just average – nothing to complain about, but nothing to praise either. As for the location, I can only say... it's just okay. Wuhan isn't Shanghai, so the location isn't really that crucial. That's all.

I saw this hotel online and thought about coming over to try it. I didn't expect it to be quite pleasant. First of all, the sanitation is also in place, clean and comfortable. Of course, the hotel scenery is really amazing. It feels like living in the cloud. It is especially recommended to punch in the sunrise and the sea of clouds! My stay here was absolutely perfect! The service was meticulous and attentive throughout, and I have to give a special shout-out to Nico Li. The day before my arrival, they proactively called to confirm my estimated check-in time and thoughtfully asked about my preferences, arranging the room in advance. This made me feel at ease even before I arrived. I accidentally left my power bank at the hotel, and they promptly contacted me. Nico Li immediately helped package and mail it back, which was a huge relief – their sense of responsibility is truly outstanding. The front desk service was equally warm and thoughtful, even providing a complimentary breakfast, and the food was delicious. The entire check-in process was smooth, with no issues whatsoever. The staff were responsive, enthusiastic, and attentive, and every aspect of the service was top-notch. The value for money is incredible! I'll definitely choose this hotel again for my next trip and highly recommend it to all travelers!

The service was excellent! We stayed during the May Day holiday and the service was really attentive. Manager Hans even gave us a complimentary breakfast, which was incredibly rich and easily comparable to popular breakfast spots outside. The afternoon tea at the executive lounge was also exquisite, but we were simply too full to fully enjoy it. It also happened to be my birthday, and although they didn't have chocolate cake, they still brought us some small pastries. I also heard the pool is quite good. I'll definitely stay here again next time, and hopefully, I'll get to try the pool then!
