This hotel is a top landmark in downtown Yangon, boasting an excellent location right next to Junction City mall and Bogyoke Aung San Market, and within walking distance of Sule Pagoda. The rooms are spacious and modern, with floor-to-ceiling windows offering city views and a glimpse of the Shwedagon Pagoda. The infinity pool offers breathtaking views, and the hotel provides a full range of amenities including a spa, fitness center, and dining options. The service is professional and attentive, and the breakfast spread is extensive. It's perfect for both business and leisure travelers.

I wanted to stay for a long time, so I stayed at 3 this time. The head of the shower attached to the bathtub is so gravy that it can be taken now, and it is taken when it is used, and it is told the next morning to sightseeing. He was fixing it when he returned from sightseeing, and there was an apology message on the desk.
Breakfast was an order system from the menu, but when I told him that I wanted to eat fruit, he was willing to prepare it. The honey on the yogurt was very delicious and I took a picture of the package. I searched at the supermarket in Yangon and Mandalay, but I couldn't find it, and when I emailed where I could buy it later, there was no reply after I received a reply to confirm it with the charge. After all, with the cooperation of local friends, I had a honey company deliver it to the hotel where I was staying. On the day of moving to Mandalay, check-out was before 4 o'clock, but they prepared a box, including tuna sandwiches, boiled *, fruit platter, bread, and latte. It was the most luxurious breakfast box I have ever been to Myanmar. Thank you very much.

This is perhaps one of few premium hotels that are still considerate to smoking patrons and offer smoking rooms which is why I selected it. My room was on the 3rd floor, with direct access to the pool. The room was clean, spacious and modestly comfortable.
The breakfast buffet was excellent, delivering wide assortment and variety. There is a night club on site, however closed with anticipated opening from April 2026. The gym is clean and fully equipped. Look forward to staying here again.

This is one of the best hotels I’ve ever stayed.
It’s formerly known as Rosewood Yangon and now reopened for 8 months. Everything is excellent, very friendly, patient and helpful staff, extraordinary service. The hotel’s history dates back to 1927 so it’s absolutely a historical building. The decoration is very exquisite, breakfast is tasty and there are many choices. The location is also good and safe, very near to Sule Plaza, General Post Office and British Embassy. On terrace you can see the river view.
I want to especially express my gratitude to Vanessa and Swar, they provided me with a lot of detailed information so I can know more about this hotel, this city and this country. Please make sure they can receive this feedback and my appreciation!
Meanwhile, the front desk Moo Thaw, Luca showed me the hospitality.
Next time I come to Yangon, I would consider choosing this hotel again, and also I will recommend it to my friends.
Hope you can keep this level 😃
The environment is fantastic, and the breakfast is abundant, hygienic, and delicious. It comes with a swimming pool, gym, and other amenities. There's also an in-house buffet for dinner, and outdoor BBQ options on the lower level. Overall, it's a great experience.
First time staying here for a business trip, and my overall impression is: the facilities are quite new, the environment is good, breakfast is plentiful, and it offers great value for money. Plus, there's no traffic congestion, making it convenient for getting around and to the airport.
Location of the property is opposite to Myanmar Plaza shopping mall. It would be great if the size gate of the property could open for guests to walk a shorter distance to the mall.
Service staffs were very friendly, especially Lenna who was very efficient during the check-out process and responded professionally to queries.
Breakfast at D’Cusine was average needs improvement. There is also a Japanese Restaurant and a Korean restaurant for dining within the property.
Swimming pool is excellent especially for family with kids.
Club at basement played good music. Take note of age group and dress code requirements.
Overall highly satisfied with the stay at this property.
Very nice hotel. The room are clean and comfortable with all toiletries (toothbrush, soap, comb, shampoo, conditioner, body soap, shower cap…).
Can enjoy gym and swimming pool until 9pm.
Breakfast is nice, have local / Chinese / western food and beverage.
Service is great and people are nice.
Great location, near the lake.
Meliá has a very good location, just opposite Inya Lake. While the interior design is simple and not very modern, the facilities and service are great.
It would be nice if a sauna and jacuzzi were available and provide briefing while check in.
The breakfast is amazing. I was surprised to see both a café counter and an ice cream counter during the breakfast session.
However, they did not offer any complimentary service for birthday or anniversary requests.

An Outstanding Stay at Park Royal – Comfort, Cuisine & Class Just wow! Park Royal is perfectly located for travelers, right in the heart of downtown yet wonderfully peaceful throughout the day. From the moment I arrived, the experience was seamless—the check-in process was smooth and efficient, and the staff were exceptionally warm, welcoming, and polite. The rooms are spacious, well-maintained, and spotlessly clean, offering great comfort after a long day. The highlight of my stay was the fantastic Christmas buffet dinner, and I can confidently say that Park Royal offers one of the best breakfasts in town—delicious, fresh, and beautifully presented. An added bonus was the reopening of the club within the same premises from 31st December. As a Park Royal guest, I was offered complimentary entry, which made the experience even more special. With everything nearby, excellent hospitality, and a calm atmosphere, Park Royal truly stands out. I will definitely visit again to relive these wonderful memories.
”Overall, a good experience. One minor suggestion for the breakfast team: the reception greeting feels a bit mechanical. Instead of asking 'How many people?' (which is usually obvious as we walk in), it would be much more welcoming to simply say 'Good morning, let me show you to your table.' Small changes in communication make a big difference in a luxury setting.”
I stayed at Melia with my family and from check in to check out we had a fantastic stay. Most of the staff were really obliging and helpful with a special note to Coe and her team in the Market Restaurant who ensured our breakfasts meals were always comfortable and our needs catered for. The hotel is situated near the picturesque Inya Lake and we had a Lake view room which made the morning wake up extra special. Melia is also next door to the Myanmar Plaza mall where there are plenty of shops, including a super market and the top floor has an extensive food court. Though if you wished to stay and eat at the hotel there are a number of restaurants in the hotel serving outstanding dishes. For the amenities there are a number of bars and a lounge on the top floor - though this is only available to those who have a specific room. During our stay we also made use of the swimming pool and the gym. Both very clean and well maintained with the gym having a good variety of equipment and fresh towels and water to hand. Overall it was a very pleasant and enjoyable stay and should we return to Yangon, Melia is a place we would certainly consider staying at again.
Review: The Governor’s Residence, Yangon The Governor’s Residence remains one of Yangon’s most atmospheric and elegant hotels, combining colonial charm with modern comfort. Nestled in a quiet embassy district, the restored teak mansion, once the home of a British colonial governor, immediately impresses with its graceful architecture and tranquil gardens. Approaching through leafy pathways and lotus ponds, guests are welcomed into an oasis that feels far removed from the bustle of downtown Yangon. Rooms are spacious and tastefully decorated, featuring polished teak floors, four-poster beds, and traditional Burmese textiles that reflect the building’s heritage. Balconies overlook either the lush gardens or the inviting fan-shaped swimming pool, creating a sense of calm retreat. The service is consistently warm, professional, and attentive without being intrusive, with staff eager to share local knowledge and assist with arrangements. Dining is a highlight. The open-air restaurant offers refined Burmese and international dishes, prepared with fresh ingredients and presented with flair. Breakfast under the wide verandas, with tropical birdsong in the background, is especially memorable. Afternoon cocktails by the pool or an evening meal by candlelight evoke the romantic grandeur of a bygone era. What sets the Governor’s Residence apart is its atmosphere: it is not simply a hotel but a living reminder of Yangon’s colonial past, reimagined with comfort and grace. Whether visiting on business or leisure, guests leave with a sense of serenity and timeless elegance. For those seeking a blend of history, luxury, and authentic Burmese hospitality, this residence is an exceptional choice.
Repeat stay. Wonderful ambience. Spacious and well appointed room. Very comfortable bedding. Great buffet dinner, excellent spa and gym. Infinity pool was fabulous overlooking the river. Courteous staff. Possibly the best hotel in Yangon for this price.
Everything was good👌👌👌😍💙…The only downside was that you might feel too lazy to go out or sightsee because the hotel room was very comfortable, and it was extremely hot outside😅 —- You could just stay in your room, enjoy the view, go for a swim, or have a spa day…. The breakfast buffet had a lot of options, and they even changed some of the dishes the next day. My favorite was the sauna—it was really good. I also loved the hot shower, as it didn’t turn cold even after being on for a long time😍 The massages were great, and the prices were reasonable…. The staff were very helpful and kind…. There were occasional power interruptions, but they only lasted a few seconds since the hotel’s backup power kicked in immediately… + Although it’s a bit far from the tourist spots, you can take a Grab—it’s affordable and the best option since it gets really hot during the day….
One of the best hotels I have ever stayed! A+++ Old world charm in Yangon and being over 125 years, it was like staying in history. Highly recommend this place. From the rooms and especially the staff are beyond reproach. The food was also excellent with one of the best breakfasts in Asia.
