5-Star Hotels in Waikato, New Zealand

The room was spacious and had a balcony with a view of Lake Taupo. It was very clean, and housekeeping did an excellent job. There's a large parking lot below the hotel, making parking convenient. The path from the parking lot to the hotel is also well-lit. However, some rooms were undergoing renovations, and it was quite noisy in the mornings. This could be disruptive if you're looking for a relaxing vacation. Taupo is located in an earthquake zone, and we experienced a small tremor during our stay. It wasn't major, but it was a bit startling. It's good to be aware of this if you're planning a trip to Taupo; apparently, small earthquakes happen several times a year and are quite normal.

We stayed one night en route to Hobbiton and liked it so much that we stayed another 2 later in our trip. Great location, and Cambridge is a relatively easy base to get to other places from. Beautiful decor throughout, nice finishings and really peaceful. It was very busy during our stay (around Christmas/NY) so a little wait for food/drinks but that’s to be expected. We had positive interactions with all hotel and restaurant staff. My only feedback is that the switches in the rooms have blue lights on them, which, for people that like a black-out room, can disrupt sleep. Hopefully an easy fix!

The motel is in a good location, right by Lake Taupo, with a nice sunset view. The hotel rooms are exquisite and compact, and are really small but well-equipped, with a small refrigerator, microwave, electric stove, etc. The car is parked right at the door of the room, which is very convenient. There are two shortcomings. First, there are too few electrical sockets, which seems to be a common problem in old hotels in New Zealand, with few sockets; second, the hygiene needs to be improved. The big spider web in the corner above the bed in our room has not been cleaned.

A family of four shared a three bedroom villa. - spacious and quiet environment. - friendly and helpful staff. - food is delicious. - the only problem is hot water would not be enough if you prolly be the last one to take the shower. - worth staying.

As long as we communicate in advance via email, the process is quite efficient. The room is spacious and has a kitchen.

Note that the room type is not a villa. Each house is an independent entry and exit of the two houses upstairs. If the room for you is upstairs, there is a terrace. If it is assigned downstairs, there is a lawn without a balcony. . The view of the yacht in our three-bedroom and one-bedroom balcony is the biggest highlight. There are two rooms in the three rooms and the living room facing the harbor. One room is facing the community. Everything in the room is good. The shower is very hot and the water is hot. This is good, the kitchen is big enough for you to cook and eat. It feels that each house has a different owner, and it is given to the management company for unified renting. The curtains in the bedroom are curtain-type, and there are gaps between the two. In the evening, the light is shining through the outside. At 6 o'clock in the morning, it starts to see through the sun. If it is not a good sleep, it should be difficult to sleep more than eight. There is nothing to play in the community, there is no place for a walk. The service is basically called no, except to get a key. Also please note that this two points will never let you stay in advance! There are two big supermarkets not far from driving, but there is not much to watch and play in the whole town.
