Just completed a wonderful three night stay at the Zhangye Holiday Inn. Perhaps most Silk Road tourists do not spend three nights in Zhangye but we wanted to visit both the popular and more “off the beaten path” historical sites nearby. This Holiday Inn is up to international standards - the staff was very professional, courteous and well trained, the rooms were modern and well-maintained, and even the buffet breakfast restaurant manager spoke English. This is probably one of the few (if not the only) more Westernized hotels in Zhangye) and we had a very good stay and experience in this hotel in Zhangye.

Service: Very good, Gansu people are very warm and welcoming! Environment: Very close to the airport, with airport drop-off service, the service is pretty good. Breakfast is a little simple, but I think it's OK, mainly because I don't eat much...haha... Gansu people are very hospitable... and they will answer any questions! Yes, the first time I went there, I had a very good impression!

I have travelled a lot in China the last 5 years. This is probably one of the best hotels I have been. Clean, comfortable, close to everything, very nice staff. Have everything you need in the room. They leave you presents in the room, have all the free drinking water you need, free apples, just excellent welcome feeling. They go as far as pointing the shower head to the side everytime they clean the room so you don't get wet when you turn on the shower. More expensive and luxurios hotels have a lot to learn from these guys. Just excellent.

The service was exceedingly good at ZhongZhou hotel. I stayed with my wife and had a second room for my daughter and son in law. The lobby always had someone to open doors/press the elevator button for guests. What really stood out to me was the attitude of the workers. Breakfast typically starts at 7, when I mentioned I had to leave at 6:15, the worker at the restaurant told me to come early, and she would have it ready for me. Unfortunately no fitness center but the laundry room was a plus. There were also plenty of washing machines (no dryers). This hotel truly felt like a second home. The rooms and beds were also comfortable and clean. A fantastic stay overall, would definitely stay here again.

Everything about the hotel is satisfactory. The room is large and has a good view. However, the front desk service needs to be improved and the deposit refund is delayed. The hotel parking security service is good and it is also good to have convenient dining nearby.

I took my kids around and changed hotels almost every day. I stayed at the Orange Hotel once before and was quite disgusted with it (everywhere was colorful), but this time the Orange Hotel in Jiayuguan was very good in terms of decoration, hardware and staff quality. ! The tunnel mirror in the elevator is quite special. Overall, I am quite satisfied! The only thing I found that was inhumane: the socket of the hair dryer is on the pillar to the left of the mirror (90% of people hold the hair dryer in their right hand). My wife and I both had the same experience when blowing our hair, and our hands were sore because The cord of the hair dryer is short and elastic. So you should be able to imagine the result of blow-drying your hair! Need to improve next time!

As amazing as it looks. Great location to walk to the dunes. Rooftop perfect for sunset and sunrise views. Only advice is to not eat at the Bar restaurant on the roof (breakfast is great, but dinner menu is mostly average western style food - go to the night market in town instead!)

Environment: The most central location in Zhangye, next to the Bell and Drum Tower, and within a ten-minute walk to the wooden pagoda and the Big Buddha Temple Facilities: There are many smart facilities in the room, and curtains, TVs, and lights can all be controlled by voice. Service: The floor heating in the room was too sufficient and a bit hot. Southerners were not used to it. They reported it to the hotel and they actively solved the problem. They also gave them two breakfast coupons and praised their service attitude.

I stayed 5 nights at this hotel. It is located right across from the Lanzhou train station. The area is very busy with a lot of shops and restaurants nearby. It is very easy to use the subway right next to the train station to go around the city. There's also a bus terminal right next to the subway station.

Huili Business Apartment. Like the name implies it caters more for businessmen. If you don’t have a car it can be a bit of a hassle to get around. Though taxis are a good standby. As a 4* hotel it is huge and expansive. The hotel is clean and well-maintained though a bit dated. Nevertheless the room I was given was well equipped for a good night’s stay. The staff were helpful and tried their best to help with queries though one of them was a bit clueless. However the much touted night market was a letdown. It was quite a walk away and did not seem to be functioning fully. At night the whole area is aglow with attractive twinkling lights making the hotel look like a fairyland. I have nothing to complain about the hotel because I paid a very good price to stay here and they even allowed me a late check-out!

I stayed 5 nights at this hotel. It is located right across from the Lanzhou train station. The area is very busy with a lot of shops and restaurants nearby. This holiday inn is the best of all hotels I have traveled in China. They are welcoming, staff is friendly and quick, and breakfast is good with an amazing price and location. It is located right next to one of the biggest malls and night markets in Lanzhou. I especially want to thank Lydia Li (李晓亚) front office manager for her exceptional help. She greeted us and introduced us to the culture and experiences in Lanzhou, and was most helpful in arranging appointments. She was the one that really brightened up our trip in China.

Orange Crystal is pretty good. The room is spacious and bright, and the service is thoughtful and enthusiastic. The location is excellent, very close to Lanzhou West Station, the taxi starting price is about ten minutes walk. In the evening, you can go to Zhongshan Bridge to see the night view, and go to Xinguang Night Market to eat some snacks. It is also very close to Gansu Provincial Museum, where you can see the museum's BMW Stepping on Flying Swallow and learn about the history of the Hexi Corridor.

The hotel is in a great location, right next to Zhongshan Bridge. Zhangye Road Pedestrian Street, Dazhong Lane, Yellow River Cableway, Baitashan Park, the Master and Apprentice Statue, and the Mother River Statue are all nearby and can be reached on foot; Gansu Museum and Ink Danxia are not far away. There are also all kinds of food, such as Nianpi, Fangha, Shouzha, Xingpi Shui, Hujia Baozi, Noodles, BBQ, etc. The hotel is also equipped with enough parking spaces, and it is very convenient to rent a car.

A very good hotel. A family set out from Chengdu and passed through Lanzhou to the four counties of the Hexi Corridor, Dunhuang Mogao Grottoes, Crescent Lake, Yumen Pass, Jiayu Pass, and Yangguan. They traveled along the Hexi Corridor in the CCTV documentary. The scenery was beautiful. At Yumen Pass, I felt the lonely smoke in the desert, the setting sun on the long river, and the setting sun in the desert. When I checked out the next morning and looked for my phone📱, I was squeezed into the gap of the sofa. The hotel is very close to Xiguan subway station, but you need to go through an underground passage. There is a shopping mall downstairs. The most comfortable hotel I've ever slept in, maybe I was tired. Nothing wrong with it except that it's far from the city. The ramen for breakfast is delicious! The service attitude is very good, and the hygiene is also good. There are some small hairs, but it doesn't affect it. A fantastic hotel. I usually don’t like staying in big hotels as they tend to be soulless, but this one was really special. From the fresh cucumber face mask to the hot soak for your feet, they are incredibly thoughtful and kind. The service is fantastic. They were really helpful to us as foreigners, highly recommend!

Runhu Holiday Hotel is located in the old city of Zhangye, very close to the city center. There is a park outside the door, and there is a night market in the evening. The hotel is located near the local Dang River. You can go for a walk after dinner in the evening. Some facilities on the river are also very unique. The room is larger than other hotels of the same price, with dry and wet separation, clean and tidy. The restaurant next to the hotel is delicious. This hotel is a good choice to visit the Mogao Grottoes in Dunhuang.

The room is newly renovated and the environment is average. We checked in on July 27 and the unit price was 780 yuan/day. The layout of the room is not reasonable. There is not even a shelf for towels when washing your face, and there is no place to put clothes in the shower... Decoration We only consider the aesthetics but not the practicality of living.

Dunhuang is so fun! One ticket to Mingsha Mountain is good for three days. This is the most cost-effective scenic spot I have ever seen. This hotel is not in the downtown area. We got free upgrade to the suite so that was nice. Very pretty river view and not as noisy as some of the reviews I've read. Probably because the weather was getting chilly. Room was very spacious, even for just the size of the bedroom alone. Bed was comfortable and not too soft. But I will say that the light switches in the rooms and also the smart toilet seat were very confusing. Strangely, it had a large bathtub area, but a separate and very squished shower closet. The water didn't quite drain properly also. Breakfast was okay. But considering how the city really is just a town in the desert, I'd say it's actually pretty good. The local restaurants are also options, but we had to get up super early for day trips, and didn't feel like freezing outside to look for food when it's still dark. Side note, the night market in town is nice but not much going on outside of that area. The hotel is not in the city centre, but since the city is small, taxi is the way to go. We actually end up just getting the phone number of one of the taxi driver, and called her whenever we planned to head out. I chose the hotel based on aesthetics and was not disappointed. But our suite was in the end of a very long hallway, so get ready to walk if you are not near the elevator.

After visiting the Mogao Grottoes, I had to catch the train to Lanzhou, so I found a hotel near the station. The hotel is very close to the train station, and it provides shuttle service. It only takes 6 or 7 minutes by car, which is very convenient.
