A Life-Saving Stay with Breathtaking Views!”
My stay at **Tibet Hostel** was absolutely incredible—thanks to the **kind and attentive staff** named xu mu the manager who went above and beyond to make me feel welcome. As someone sensitive to high altitude, their **nasal oxygen supply** was a *literal lifesaver*, helping me adjust comfortably.
The **morning breakfast** was a delightful experience, with fresh ******* bread, warm tea, and eggs served with a **panoramic mountain view** that made every meal unforgettable. The hostel even **customized my food** to accommodate dietary preferences—a rare and thoughtful touch!
I was especially grateful for their **willingness to fulfill special requests**. When I asked for a room with the famous **”Potato Field View”** (a charming landscape of terraced fields), they happily arranged it without hesitation. The room was clean, cozy, and perfectly positioned to enjoy the scenery.
What truly stood out was their **dedication to foreign guests**—whether explaining local customs, helping with travel plans, or simply sharing stories over tea. The atmosphere was **both peaceful and social**, making it easy to connect with fellow travelers.
If you're visiting Tibet, **this hostel is a must-stay**—comfort, care, and stunning views all in one! **10/10 experience.**

✨ Nyingchi stayed at a recommended hotel, Yueyue was simply a surprise! The location of the hotel is absolutely perfect, the Gongbu Park is nearby, the scenery is beautiful! The floor-to-ceiling windows of the room lead into the room, and it is especially pleasant to drink tea and watch the scenery. The bedding was soft and the sleep was super fragrant, which completely relieved the fatigue of the journey. The most intimate is the hotel's diffuse oxygen supply system! Just arrived at the plateau a little bit high, there is oxygen to suck in the room, and it is much more comfortable in an instant~ The front desk lady is warm and thoughtful, and the surrounding facilities are also very convenient. It is super close to Gongbutian Street. You can walk to the park in a few minutes. The hotel also has free washing machines and dryers, which is simply a tourist artifact and frees your hands! Next time you come to Nyingchi to live here, you must have all five-star praise!
I had a truly satisfying experience at this newly opened hotel. The facilities are modern and comprehensive, boasting amenities like an oxygen supply system, air conditioning, and a mini-fridge. Its location is incredibly convenient, surrounded by hot pot restaurants, foot massage spas, KTVs, and various other dining options. The service was excellent, with thoughtful touches such as luggage assistance and complimentary fruit delivery.

I stayed at this hotel for the first night when I hit lhasa. The receptionists were pretty warm and hospitable. They went with us upstairs and tell the usage of oxygenerator. After request, they took afternoon tea to our room. Everything was perfect.
Nagqu is at a very high altitude. We arrived in Namtso from Namtso and had some altitude sickness. It was cold and windy outside, so we didn't want to go out for dinner. The hotel unexpectedly prepared a late-night snack for guests, which was very thoughtful. The hotel's facilities are new and smart, and the oxygen concentrator worked very well, alleviating our altitude sickness. The service was also excellent. Nagqu is very dry, and we were running low on mineral water. We called to request two more bottles, and the hotel quickly delivered three bottles, which was very thoughtful.
The hotel is in a great location. Just drive across Victory Bridge and turn left, and you'll find the hotel. The lobby is very grand, with numerous orchid pots—it's truly delightful.
The Tea Horse Square is only a five-minute walk from the hotel and quite lively.
The front desk service was very warm. I especially want to commend Li Xiaoqian, who proactively upgraded my room, brought sweet tea, and helped with our luggage. It truly made us feel at home.
We stayed in an executive king room with a mountain view. The room was fully equipped with tea facilities, spacious, and even had a humidifier.
The breakfast was even more amazing. The beef buns were fresh from the oven, and the chef recommended adding some chili sauce to make them even more delicious. Haha, they were delicious! The corn and ginseng fruit and braised yak beef were also delicious. It was a rare and delicious breakfast on the 317 route.

When I first arrived in Lhasa, I stayed at Jicai, primarily because of its cleanliness and its proximity to the Potala Palace and Barkhor Street. My experience after checking in was excellent. After my trip to Nyingchi and Mêdog, I booked Jicai again. If you experience altitude sickness, the lobby provides an oxygen concentrator, and the rooms even have diffused oxygen supply.
I had wanted to try breakfast in Lhasa, so on my last day, I bought the hotel's breakfast and discovered their noodles (fen) are really good. I regretted not booking a room with breakfast included. If you're still debating whether to book breakfast, my advice is to go for it if you like sour and spicy noodles, because their breakfast noodles are delicious. Delicious, delicious!
Front desk service was good, and honestly, Jicai offers great value for money. Highly recommended.
A hotel worth all 5 points, this place in Shannan exceeded my expectations and also made me new to the brand ”Hilton”.
Hotel service, from the door to people, very good, very intimate, people feel very professional, it can be seen that the brand management is in place. Check-in was very fast. Also sent us warm Rhodiola tea.
The hotel room is very generous and user-friendly, and I slept very comfortably that night.
The hotel's breakfast is also very special, there are many choices, the bread style is delicious and the style is beautiful, the staff will take the initiative to make local wontons for the guests, delicious.
There are many dining places around, there are markets, supermarkets, restaurants, and can be reached on foot.
The hotel also has night porridge, milk, small bread at night, eating, very sleepy. Because of the time relationship, I didn't live for one more day. Unfortunately, I will go to Ali next year and will definitely come back to your home. Or there will be Hilton in the future, and I will give priority to it.

Our room was upgraded to a family room, room 327. To be honest, the hotel is located quite deep in an alley, about a 500-meter walk from the main road... All the room windows are single-paned and looked like they hadn't been cleaned in years... The towels and bath towels were all dated 2023 and weren't very soft anymore. We booked through Ctrip, which helped with the room upgrade and included complimentary breakfast. Don't expect too much from this hotel; it's quite different from a Holiday Inn Express on the mainland. The breakfast was just passable, nothing to write home about.
After all those downsides, let's talk about the positives: it's incredibly cheap. Booked on Ctrip during the off-peak season (August 31st - September 3rd), and with a Lhasa culture and tourism subsidy voucher, it came down to about 160 RMB per night. Secondly, you need a key card to access the floors, which makes it quiet and secure.
If you're traveling independently and plan to be out sightseeing daily, the location is a bit far. It's about 2.5 km to Potala Palace (15 RMB by taxi) and roughly 3.5 km to Jokhang Temple. Lhasa's cost of living is much higher than Chengdu's. You'll notice it significantly in taxi fares and dining expenses. This was my first visit, and I didn't experience altitude sickness. I found it truly beautiful. Here are a few recommendations:
🚩FYI: I didn't take Rhodiola before entering Tibet and didn't experience altitude sickness upon landing. The hotel I stayed at upon arrival didn't provide oxygen, and I didn't even buy an oxygen tank, yet I adapted just fine. So, flying into Tibet is the most relaxed way. Traveling by train or self-driving is exhausting, and you're just as likely to get altitude sickness anyway.
🔹Attractions: Potala Palace, Jokhang Temple, Ramoche Temple, Sera Monastery, Tibet Museum, Princess Wencheng Show, Chakpori Hill viewpoint, Barkhor Street... I recommend exploring at your own pace, taking it easy... stopping frequently and avoiding strenuous exercise.
🔸Food: Sichuan cuisine dominates. Aside from those speaking *******, everyone else speaks Sichuan dialect. Goods are not easy to transport in, so prices are comparable to first-tier cities. The air is dry and UV radiation is incredibly strong... I didn't get a tan all summer, but two days here turned me completely dark! [laughing emoji]
If you have any other questions, feel free to ask! 🙋♀️🙋
The location of the hotel is very good, very close to the ancient city and the waterwheel. We stayed for four consecutive days this time and were very satisfied. The hotel is very beautiful, especially the two brothers who provided excellent service. There are also delicious flower cakes available at any time, and hot milk is provided at night. It is really considerate service and responsive. Parking, luggage loading, and delivery of items are all very timely. It is a homestay worth staying in.

AAnonymous User**Review of Lhasa Gonggar Airport Lan Ou International Hotel**
My stay at the Lhasa Gonggar Airport Lan Ou International Hotel was quite pleasant and convenient, particularly for a traveler looking for comfort near the airport. The hotel's prime location, just a short distance from the Lhasa Gonggar Airport, makes it an excellent choice for those with early flights or needing a quick stopover.
The hotel itself is modern and well-kept, with a clean and stylish design. My room was spacious and comfortable, featuring contemporary furnishings and all the necessary amenities for a restful stay. The bed was particularly comfortable, and the room's soundproofing ensured a peaceful night's sleep despite the proximity to the airport.
The staff were courteous and helpful throughout my stay, although there were occasional language barriers. Nonetheless, they were always willing to assist and made an effort to accommodate my requests. The check-in and check-out processes were smooth and efficient.
One area where the hotel could improve is its dining options. While the breakfast buffet offered a decent variety of dishes, I found that the food could benefit from more freshness and variety, especially for those staying multiple nights. Additionally, the Wi-Fi connection was somewhat inconsistent, which might be a concern for business travelers needing reliable internet access.
Overall, Lhasa Gonggar Airport Lan Ou International Hotel is a solid option for travelers looking for a comfortable stay close to the airport. While there are minor areas for improvement, the hotel's convenience, cleanliness, and friendly service make it a good choice for short stays or layovers.

HhohotimVery satisfied with everything, the best is the customer service, always answer all questions.
Buy an oxygen tube for RMB 10/piece, and you can arrange an oxygen machine at the lobby bar to provide free oxygen.
There were sanitary defects, cigarette butts were found, we don't smoke as a family, but it was acceptable, the sprinkler pipe leaked, and the water pressure increased after cleaning.
Everything was cured by the warm customer service.
GGuest UserThis hotel is located right next to the entrance of Barkhor Street and Jokhang Temple, close to shopping and transportation to other places in Lhasa, so the location is perfect.
The service is the most impressive, my hotel room was facing the street and there was a loud speaker shouting all day and all night, I had to complaint to the hotel staff even though the speaker was not part of the hotel. They immediately negotiated with the the relevant people, and offered to switch my room to face away from the street. Also the hotel staff helped me to reserve the critical sites and train. I cannnot be more thankful for their help.
The room was big and they cleaned every day, they did a good job cleaning the room.
The onsite laundry facility was helpful too since I cannot affort to pay for laundry service.
All in all, I am very happy with the stay, and will return again if I come back to Lhasa.
GGuest UserThe hotel isn't to far from the Portola Palace (a short taxi trip). I wouldn't say its a true 4 star hotel.
The room was a good size, quiet and didn't smell of cigarette smoke. The room was a little worn out; I couldn't get the TV to work, the mirror on the wet bar area was cracked, there were marks to the walls where paintings/pictures had once been. Most annoying was the shower cubicle and the shower over the bath had only cold water! On my last morning the power was off in my area of the hotel and the lift was not working due to the power outage.
The hotel staff do not speak English, but one lady working on reception was especially nice and helpful and we were able to communicate by using the translation app.
There are lots of restaurants near by, but next time I think I'd prefer to stay closer to the Portola Palace.

GGuest UserUpon entering the hotel, staff immediately offered us Rhodiola tea, which is said to help alleviate altitude sickness. The hotel breakfast was exceptionally plentiful, featuring *******, Chinese, and Western options. There's also a cafe on the first floor that offers a wide variety of meals. A self-service laundry room is conveniently located on the 4th floor, equipped with detergent, hangers, and dryers – a real plus for travelers. The hotel also offers a complimentary shuttle service, providing free drop-offs to city attractions such as Potala Palace, Jokhang Temple, Barkhor Street, and Norbulingka. Additionally, they offer complimentary pick-up and drop-off services for the train station and the airport bus station. The hotel staff were incredibly accommodating, attending to virtually all our requests. We are very grateful to everyone who assisted us during our stay. We would definitely choose this hotel again on our next visit to Lhasa!
GGuest UserWe absolutely fell in love with this hotel - both the room and the overall environment. It is a beautiful hotel and we took loads of photos. Strongly recommending this hotel, especially if you are looking for a comfortable stay and easy travel to tourist destinations. We also recommend the Indian food downstairs as it was delicious. Thank you for the hospitality!
MM343511****The hotel is very clean and bright, with good facilities. The front desk is decorated in ******* style, and there are many locals staying here, such as monks. The breakfast is the most abundant hotel I have ever met, with both Chinese and ******* options. The most important thing is that it is pet-friendly! The hotel provides laundry service, but I asked by phone and was told that if there are more than two pieces, they will be charged separately. You can see the price list at the front desk.
@@haitianI feel that this hotel is the largest in the entire county, and my personal experience is also the best. The front desk staff is friendly, the hotel rooms are clean, and you can see the Tu Lin Mountain view from the window. Of course, the entire county is hidden in the Tu Lin Mountains. The underground parking lot has not been completed yet, and the above-ground parking is a little far away, but it is acceptable. There is breakfast with good variety, and there is dining on the second floor of the hotel.
