Great location and hotel in Medellin. We stayed for 3 nights. Rooms were spacious, comfortable bed, and shower. Loved that the hotel was located inside one of the nicest malls in this city. Safe neighborhood, and close to Provenza to go out at night. I will definitely consider staying here again. I didn’t try the food, but had a couple of drinks at the bar on the rooftop.

Three men walked into my room during my stay unannounced while two of my roommates were undressed and hotel management won’t do anything about it!! I rented 9 hotel rooms and a conference room at Hotel Dorado for 30 leaders of my nonprofit org for 4 days. On day 2 of our stay a mysterious man bolted into our room unannounced and saw my roommate completely undressed. Why would someone outside of our party could have access to our room!? We went to hotel managers Joanna and Marco and they won’t do a single thing about it. They tell us it is not a big deal just “a matter of perspective”. Shortly after reporting this, Marco charged into our room with another man behind him completely unannounced, didn’t knock, just opened the door while yet ANOTHER girl was undressing and would not leave the room claiming he is trying to “fix the problem”. Marco and Joanna need to be fired! At this point all the girls in my organization were scared, some were crying, we all felt completely UNSAFE. The management was harassing us. They have camera’s on every floor and when we asked they claim there is no footage of these events (how convenient!!!) so now we are filing suit against them so they can release the footage to us. On top of all of this mental &emotional trauma my girls went through,I spent over $3,000 for hotel rooms, conference room, and hotel catering and the hotel won’t refund us for the services and rooms we didn’t use after the incidents.This would be THE VERY LEAST they can do.

Hotel near main road, if you go with children and use stroller it is a bit complicated due to the steep slopes due to the geography of the area, when you arrive they give you a welcome cocktail for adults (not very good) and ice cream for children , in general the breakfast is quite abundant and good, we were only one night for a connection flight, the international airport is about 1 hour

We stayed at the hotel for three days. I specifically was looking for a hotel with a gym and our travel agent said this was the best place. -The check in process was very slow as they don’t have enough people at the front desk. -Our room was nice, but they only provide shampoo and soap. When I asked for body lotion, as most other hotels of this rating provide, I was told no. - Calling to the front desk results in no one answering the phone, thus I had to go downstairs several times to ask questions. -The gym itself is old and disgusting. Overlooking the pool deck is the cardio area. They had 1 of 3 treadmills working, ellipticals with no power, and spin bikes that were extremely rusted and hard to adjust for fit. The weight room floor is also filthy and I don’t think it was cleaned the entire time we were there. The weight and machines are all rusted. For dumbbells there was one set of 10s, 1 twenty and the rest were over 30 lbs. Some of the dumbbells were coming apart creating a dangerous situation of a weight slipping off and dropping on your head or foot. -We had breakfast included and the food and service were good. However, We ordered room service one evening for dinner and the food arrived after an hour and a half. It was cold and tasted horribly. - they have motion sensors in the hallway to conserve energy, which is good. However the don’t often work and several times I got off the elevator and had to navigate a pitch black hallway to my room. I would never recommend this hotel. It claims to be 4 star but it is in disguise with a fancy lobby.

Great hotel great location and service is simply the best I’ve ever seen. The hotel is well located. It’s beautifully remodelled the rooftop bar there’s also a big island of the hotel. Breakfast was included which was great but what I love the most is that every room is beautifully remodeled, and a very intelligent use of space.

Beautiful view of Medellin. Location is safe and walking distance to Provenza. Facility is modern and very clean. Staff is friendly to tourists and very accommodating.

I choose this property base on the hotel website and few reviews online. 5 Starts hotel mean an extraordinary service, customer service, and above and beyond customer service. My room was 1306 very small room, basic room, not welcome amenities (water batle or any sweets as other 5 start hotels does. The towels are absolutely inappropriate like old and stained towels, some with the bed sheets. The chairs were not in good shape and dirty. The chais were not dirty but they look old and weathered. Breakfast was delicious, local food, and several choices to eat, continental & American breakfast style available. The portion are extremely small micro-bread , so you have to put in your plate may pieces because they are too small. Poor customer service and most the employees feels like empowered just because they work at the hotel. Except few people. Upon my arrival not courtesy at all, no water bottle complementary so comparing with the holiday Inn Express & Suites located one block down that goes above & beyond to make us feel welcome at the hotel. For the price I paid it is not make sense to spent large amount of money for. Very poor service. The Hotel Bellman (April 2) in the morning. Excellent experience Excellent location near the Airport. We arrived late by the time we cleared customs picked our bags it was close to 2am. Sadly i couldn't find the number for the hotel to call for the shuttle, we took a taxi and it charged $60,000 pesos that's like $13.dollars. the Beds are very comfortable we had a suite. The rooms are spacious and the AC works well. Breakfast was really good with a great variety. Definitely recommend this place.

Check in at night to checkin, there is a team of 5 people in front, checkin took 20 minutes, the first time I encountered it for so long, the staff may not be skilled. There is also a hotel wireless network that is not very useful, and the others are generally good.

TLDR: un paved road, no hot water for more than 50% of our stay, inaccurate menus, no remote controls in room, not water at all, and then no hot water again! Horrible, horrible, horrible stay!!! Just a waste of money and precious vacation time. We got here 2 days ago and we were very tired after a 3 hour journey to get to the hotel from Medellin. Be advised that the road is not paved all the way to the hotel. One would expect a Marriott hotel to at least have paved roads but here one must severely lower expectations. When we checked in we found out the luggage trolley was not working. That’s fine we helped the bellboy carry our things to the room. We get to the room and our next door neighbors were having a little get together. Normally this wouldn’t be a big deal but the walls here are paper thin. We could hear cars pulling up to the hotel entrance from our room. We switched rooms and unpacked, ordered room service and tried to take a shower but there was no hot water. We were too tired to deal with that so we got ready for bed. 20 mins later we get a call to tell us what we ordered wasn’t available, a call we should have gotten maximum 5 mins within pacing our order. The next day we still had no hot water so we called maintenance at 10am. Maintenance spent the next few hours trying to fix it. We decided to change our plans and stay at the pool since we couldn’t shower to go out for the tours we had planned. We thought this would give them time to fix it. 6pm rolls around and still no hot water. At this point we demand a refund and they offer to upgrade us to a room with hot water. We take the upgrade and there are a few kinks like: two TVs in the suite but no remote controls, espresso machine that isn’t plugged in and we had to call maintenance because the plug is behind a huge bookcase. We go to have dinner and the cocktails on the menu aren’t available because they switched menus but they still give guests the old menus. Lo and behold, by 2pm the next day we have no water at all. The hotel claims a pipe burst and they had to have it fixed so water was cut. A few hours later the water is back but no hot water AGAIN! This hotel is located in a warm climate but it gets extremely cold at night so hot water is necessary. Now we’re sitting in our room waiting for hot water. In total we have spent more than 50% of our trip waiting for hot water. This is truly unacceptable from any hotel, even less from a Marriott location. We thought this would be a relaxing and run getaway but it has been awful, stressful and a waste of time and money. The hotel is beautiful and the food at the restaurant is truly delicious but this place does not have its act together. The staff truly tries and it’s not their fault that the place is such a mess, they didn’t build the paper thin walls, they didn’t decide not to pave, and they didn’t install insufficient water heaters. This was all the owners and management so I don’t blame the staff. I think this place was opened

Versus has to be the most perfect hotel in my 13 days trip to Colombia. I am a solo female traveller and I was taken care of beautifully. Located in the upper El Poblado area away from all the party scenario, in a very upscale, modern , quiet area yet close to everything with a short cab ride. It is extremely easy to find it as it is located on the main road itself. The hotel is new and is the most perfect addition to Medellin. It has such a quirky and chic decor, extremely modern and fun. The rooms are designed perfectly. The best coworking space , gym and yoga room. Can’t comment on the pool as I didn’t use it . The fantastic part of the hotel is the cafe. The food is absolutely AMAZING and DELICIOUS. I could just sit there for hours. Thats how amazing the whole vibe of the hotel was. Such great crowd and atmosphere always. Special mention about Carlos from the front desk. Right from check in to check out, he helped in each and every query of mine. He was just like a friend and guide and always ready to help with a smile. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS HOTEL TO EVERYONE COMING TO MEDELLIN. 🫶🏻😍😍

First impression on arrival was a nice, big lobby, staff were kind, and check-in was quick. We got a corner suite which has a living room and separate bedroom although space is funny as the hotel is curved. Upon entering our room we could tell the furniture was outdated but also that it was not very well cleaned. Laminated dark floor easily showed dust and sloppy mop streaks. TV and tables were dusty as well. The bathroom was the worst, not only does it look like a hospital bathroom but toilet kept leaking every 5 minutes, trash bin was stained, roof had some repairs done only to be left with an open hole. And then I noticed smeared toothpaste in the white tile. Towels were heavily used and stained. The room could be connected with an adjoining room, which was empty for our first two nights but then the third night it was occupied and we could hear EVERYTHING. Gym is very limited, there is no pool, there are two jacuzzis we did not use that also seem dated. Room service was efficient and good, restaurant is ok. Management did follow up with my concerns after we were asked via email for our opinion.

We loved this hotel. They have about 16 rooms and it has a very homey feel. The manager is on site and always around if you need anything. The hotel is located on Guatape Lake and is absolutely gorgeous. We ended up staying here one night so that we can visit El Peñol and Guatape town and we’re really glad we did. Our room was huge with a hot tub on the balcony and views of the lake. The hot tub was very hot and perfect after the day of climbing the rock! Breakfast was very good. It was not buffet style, but a la cart and included . The gym had views of the lake and the hotel offers yoga, kayaking etc at an additional cost. Tau house is super peaceful and set on an idyllic back drop and perfect for relaxation! I would recommend staying here one night if you’re visiting Guatape.
