YollandiI don’t usually leave negative reviews, but I feel compelled to share my experience in the hope that it encourages some improvements.
Unfortunately, my stay at Nalagi Hotel was far below my expectations. From the moment I checked in, the experience got off to a disappointing start. The front desk attendant was cold and unwelcoming, never made eye contact, and didn’t smile once. She appeared annoyed to be there, which was a stark contrast to the genuine warmth and hospitality I experienced at other hotels in Nadi during this trip.
The room was spacious, but it lacked thoughtful design and attention to detail. The main light switch is inconveniently located below the television, with no bedside lamps or nightstands, meaning that if you wanted to read in bed or simply turn the lights off, you had to get up each time. There was also a persistent unpleasant odor coming from the bathroom drain, and overall cleanliness and maintenance left much to be desired. The hotel feels worn and tired, as though very little care has gone into its upkeep. That’s perhaps the biggest disappointment, because the property has so much potential that simply isn’t being realized.
The final straw came on my second night. I was repeatedly woken between 1:00 and 2:00 a.m. by neighboring guests who were aggressively banging on a nearby door so loudly it sounded as though they were trying to break it down. Once they eventually got into the room, the noise continued. I called reception to report the disturbance and was told security would be sent, but if they did come, it had little effect. Eventually, I had to get out of bed and ask the guests myself to keep the noise down.
I genuinely wanted to enjoy my stay, but the combination of poor service, lack of maintenance, hygiene concerns, and the handling of the late-night disturbance made for a very disappointing experience. With better management, staff training, and investment in the property, Nalagi Hotel could be a wonderful place to stay. Sadly, that was not my experience.

Kingfeet99We had a very pleasant stay at the DoubleTree by Hilton Fiji - Sonaisali Island. The biggest highlight of this hotel is definitely the staff — everyone was genuinely friendly, welcoming, and always trying to help with a smile. You can tell the team really cares about the guests, and that makes a huge difference.
The hotel itself is quite remote and isolated, which can be either a positive or a negative depending on what you are looking for. There is no real private beach for swimming, so don’t expect a classic white-sand Fiji beach resort experience. However, the location is absolutely perfect for sunsets. The evening atmosphere is beautiful, calm, and very relaxing.
The breakfast is not really at a 5-star level in terms of variety or quality, but it is still more than sufficient and you will definitely find enough options to start the day well.
One thing that really feels outdated though: charging extra for Wi-Fi in the rooms in 2026 is honestly absurd. Hilton, seriously — what decade are we living in? Free room Wi-Fi should be standard at this level nowadays.

Anonymous UserThis seaside cottage was very comfortable. The bus stop right in front was very convenient. If you're relying on the bus, allow plenty of time. We couldn't get on an express bus as they were all full, and three passed us by. After a two-and-a-half-hour wait, we finally got on a local bus to Singatoka, and from there, we took an express bus to Nadi. It's a great spot; you can snorkel during high tide and enjoy exploring the tidal pools during low tide.

We booked delux room but was upgraded to entire apartment on ground floor. It was clean, spacious living area, full kitchen facilities, AC and ceiling fans in bedroom & living area & laundry facilities. Bathroom was tiny, with window (no exhaust fan), 24hr hot water with good pressure. Tea & coffee was provided but no bottled water. There are security grills & fly nets on all windows & doors. Main entrance gate to property is remote operated provided with key. No signage at the property with its name. The property manager provided the contact for good taxi driver. There is a burger king & few restaurants within 5 min walk. Shopping mall 10 min walk with supermarket, local bus stop, taxi stand, restaurants and other shops. If you book cultural village tour or island cruise, shuttle pick-up will be at the shopping mall area.

Guest UserSuch a great customer service. I booked a room with a king bed and by mistake i was given a room with 2 single beds. The team quickly responded and upgraded me to a ocean view room with a king bed for free. Their breakfast was awsome. I loved every second of my stay. And hats off to the fijian guy at the entrance. I forgot his name. He was so helpfull carrying everyones bags and showing them their rooms and he always had a smile on his face. Definetly will stay again.

Great location as base on the Coral Coast. Express bus from Nadi airport will drop you off literally out front. Front desk staff and manager were outstanding. Super friendly and accommodating to any request. Nice pool with cabana in enclosed courtyard. Nice Fijian Indian fusion restaurant in the same building. Also pizza place that we did not try. Walking distance to many restaurants along the beach.

We had a wonderful experience during our stay. All the hotel staff were extremely friendly, welcoming, and professional. The service provided was truly above and beyond, with staff always being efficient, attentive, and proactive. We never had to wait long for assistance, and every request was handled promptly and with a smile.
The restaurant staff were also excellent and made our dining experience very enjoyable. A special mention to Laila, who took such wonderful care of us throughout our stay. She was warm, attentive, and always made sure we had everything we needed. Her exceptional service made us feel genuinely valued and added a special touch to our overall experience.
Thank you to the entire team for making our stay so comfortable, relaxing, and memorable. We would happily stay here again and highly recommend this hotel to others.

We only stayed two nights but really liked the hotel. This was a 'try out' stay for us! This is definitely not a 2 star rated resort. Alot of work has been completed here. The rooms are very contemporary and well appointed.
The pool is sparkling clean! Well done ro Ronnie the pool attendant who takes great pride in keeping the water crystal clear. A new deck is to be built around the pool in 2024.
Tui was excellent with his cooking demonstration and Masu was very funny behind the bar. These guys added to the quality of our short stay!
The dining area, unlike the bures is very bland and really needs some Fijian character. The food is, at best, very good. Slightly more pricey than other resorts we have stayed in at Fiji over 5 weeks in 2023. The cocktails are also more pricey. Unless you have a car, the resort appears isolated from other eateries.
Overall though, we enjoyed our two nights and would consider a return.

Overall a good room, everything is (champoo, shower gel, air conditioner). There is tea and coffee in the package. There is also a tugg and a teapot in the room. Meet with a welcome water. There is a cooler on the floor. From the bus station we walked to minutes for 20-25. From the features: instead of the key to the room, you need to install a special app, on the registration hall it will be connected to the hotel, and you can open the door to the room or to the pool by phone. Of the downsides: the room has a door (closed) to the related room. Because of this, everything that happens to the neighbors is heard at all (we have a neighbor who was called at 3:50 a.m.).

about 30 mn from the airport, opposite the sea (but no beach) and a few minutes walk from shops, a mall , restaurants, a grocery store and McDonald's.
Nice pool but a little small and always super crowded so we couldn't use it. The restaurant is very good and serves generous and good portions. Breakfast is so so but good.
Staff at the restaurant were super nice and helpful but at the reception although ok, weren't that proactive in offering help and didn't look very energetic. They really only helped when you asked for something.
